Eric was a very enthusiastic guide with excellent stories that showed a great deal of research. Even as someone with generations of San Francisco history in my heritage, I learned many things I didn’t previously know.
Last minute ghost tour to fill an evening in SF. My wife and I went to one years ago and it was fun. Scary history, ghost sightings etc. This Union Square tour wasn’t good. Our guide was really nice and he tried but all four of us in our party felt the tour lacked specifics. Most of the tour was about history and missed the mark for scary ghost tales. Not scary at all. Topics were vague and lacked details. For example, “ so there was this guy and I’ll call him John says he may have seen “. I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
It was fun and bit corny. Enjoyed Eric narrating the stories. I wish we could have gone into more buildings, but the one we got into was super cool.
Eric is a fantastic story teller. We had a great time. There is a lot of history that we learned about San Francisco.

This tour needs to have a disclaimer saying that it will be going up steep streets because anyone with a disability will not be able to do it...we had people in our party that could not make the climb so we turned back...so disappointed.

This tour is heavy on the history, which is exactly what we were looking for. Our tour guide was Thom, and he was great, very friendly and an engaging storyteller. Be forewarned, most of the walking is either up or down the steep Nob Hill. We stopped periodically for stories, so even my asthmatic self managed to survive, but wear good shoes and bring your inhaler!
The location of meet up is wrong. It’s the corner of Powell and Post in Union Square. 333 Post is the other end of the block. Sacks is no longer there. Thom was an excellent guide. Patient as we hiked up Nob Hill. Answered all our questions. It was just my family so it felt personal.
