Buyer beware! Do not book this tour. This tour operator knows you will not make it back to your ship in time from the whale watching portion and doesn’t care. There is no information given as to what time the second half of this tour starts and you don’t find out until you are left on the pier that it’s hours later and if you were to go you will not make it back in time for your ship’s departure. He just takes your cash and you get nothing for it. He blames it on you for trying to cancel in less than 24 hours but knows you can’t do that part of the tour. Takes your cash and you don’t get to go whale watching. Absolutely does not care. He knows when you book it. Just go with a different company. Thank you for your feedback. We understand that missing the whale-watching portion was frustrating, but several important facts need to be clarified. This combination tour was advertised with a 12:30 start and an approximate 7-hour duration, giving an expected completion around 19:30. Your ship required you to be back around 18:00. Unfortunately, this meant the activity you booked was not compatible with your cruise schedule from the outset. The 14:00 whale-watching sailing mentioned in your review was a separate departure and was not the sailing included or guaranteed with your booking. The whale-watching portion reserved for your combination tour was scheduled later in the afternoon and remained available to you. You chose not to participate because that scheduled departure would not work with your ship's departure time. We nevertheless contacted the whale-watching provider and requested a refund exception on your behalf. They declined because the tickets had already been reserved and paid for under their 24-hour cancellation terms. It is therefore not accurate to say that we knowingly sold you an activity you could not take or simply “took your cash.” The advertised schedule itself showed that the tour would extend beyond the time you personally needed to return to your ship. Customers travelling on cruises are responsible for choosing an excursion compatible with their ship schedule. When there is any doubt, we are always available before booking to confirm whether a particular departure is suitable.
