If you are looking for a guide who will take you to the out of the way places in Marrakech AND a guide who will dive, with you, into the history, economics, religion and culture of the Arabic world, Yousef L. must be your guide. Book him for a full day tour, ask to begin in the Jewish quarter and the rest will be magic. (Ask good questions and you will get deep answers!) Great first day in Marrakech
My friend and I did a full day walking tour with Yusef for our first full day in Marrakech. It was helpful to listen to explanations of the history of the city within the context of Muslim and Arabic culture. We are American and this was our first time to any Arab country and I do think a guide can smooth the transition. Yusef made the tour specific to our requests and filled in gaps with his own suggestions when we didn't know what to do. He has years of experience and can come up with what to do as he talks with you. Fantastic experience and can't recommend it enough.
