We had a wonderful tour day on the Akureyri Forest Lagoon ebike tour with our guide Wiktoria. Wiktoria is so sweet and shared great information about Iceland, the area and the way of life in Iceland. The ebikes were top notch, fairly light and easy to ride (if you know how to ride a regular bike) and can make the 2.5 hr ride so effortless if you adjust the peddle assistance that way. Mostly flat off the main roads with a couple of steeper sections to navigate and you just have to take it slow and steady and enjoy the nature experience. Scenic beauty everywhere from the surrounding mountains, grasslands and forests. With Icelandic horses and bird life an added bonus. We were fortunate to have just the two of us + Wiktoria this particular day and we had a lot of flexibility on our ride and pace. Pickup from the cruise terminal was simple and we also got to visit the Forest Lagoon resort afterwards. So a fantastic day all round. Akureyri is a beautiful town and we highly recommend both visiting and the bike tour.

We enjoyed this tour! We are a couple in our 60’s that haven’t rode e-bikes before. We found them very easy to learn . Our guide was very friendly and informative. The Forrest Lagoon was great to relax in after the ride. Bring water, there is a place to store your backpacks or belongings.

My friends and I, a party of 6, took this tour while sailing on Celebrity Silhouette in August 2026. Bus transport to the Forest Lagoon was easy - just find the wooden hut at the pier with the Forest Lagoon sign, ask which bus to board, and take a 10 minute ride over. Weronika and crew were preparing our bikes as we arrived and the total tour group was 7 guests + 1 guide. Unfortunately, we had to cut our bike portion short since 1 of the guests was unable to handle the climbs and we couldn't split them off. It was great being able to take bikes into a portion of Akureyri that most tourists never see. The Forest Lagoon was included in our tour, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was peaceful, the water temperature was perfect, and there was no shortage of space in the pool area. We could have spent hours there. The bikes were in great condition and very nice. They had Bosch mid-drive motors, front and rear air shocks, SRAM drive trains, and SRAM 4-cylinder hydraulic brakes. They were set up to be very plush and it felt like riding on a cloud. Everyone on the team was super nice and very responsive when I messaged with questions. I would love to take this tour again and spend more time at the Forest Lagoon!

We had a great tour with just the two of us, guided by on of the owners Gidrun. Beautiful area around Akureyri and also the old town, concluded by soaking in the Forest Lagoon pool and spa. Bikes were of excellent quality and maintained, on of the best we ever had during a tour. Together with the beautiful forest and hilly tracks, a great work out with lots of local info.

Great ride around some of the sites of Akureyri. Guide was very knowledgeable and great fun! It’s a very gentle ride on e-bikes so would suit any age.

This was so much fun. (We now want E-Bikes!) Our guide Victoria was great. She gave us great information on the area we were biking. It was a bit hairy on the road with cars but most of the time we were on trails. She told us how new the actual forest was, and it was beautiful. I would highly recommend doing this if you want to do something different with your day.

Terrific ride with Wiktoria today. She is super energetic, knowledgeable, and friendly. Answered all our questions and suggested many other places to see throughout Iceland (we're moving around a bit). Great tour of Akureyri. Ride starts/ends in Forest Lagoon parking lot (they have a kiosk with the bike in the parking lot). Also purchased the Forest Lagoon tickets for after the ride. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely ride with Victoria chatted non stop and she is certainly very proud of where she lives, the bikes are high standard and you are made to feel safe, we covered 18km and saw some beautiful scenery. The Forest Lagoon was a perfect way to relax our tired legs! We had lunch too in the lagoon a delicious lamb soup. I would highly recommend this company thank you!!

We had a wonderful time biking in Akureyri. Sigrún was very responsive and accommodating. I was hesitant about booking this tour because a few of us are not great bike riders. However, the electric bikes provided are really nice and we were able to go up the hills without much trouble. The tour started at the Forest Lagoon, went through dirt/gravel backroads and ended by riding through the city. The views were beautiful and we had frequent stops to learn about the city. The owners are so friendly. This is a must do!
