I had visited Varanasi when I was a young girl. In 2026 after 3 decades got to visit Varanasi again now as a spiritual retreat. It is the most sacred experience. The whole place is changed from the narrow lanes to more open . The ghats are an experience by itself. Not to miss the dip in the holy Ganga. The evening arti is just mesmerising. The local food is amazing. If you happen to visit don't miss kachori and aloo sabji. The Jelabi and the Rabdi are a must try.

We were introduced to Neleesh through a common friend and it was the best decision since we had under 24 hours in Kashi. Neleesh planned our entire itinerary so meticulously that we were amazed at how much he packed in with the few hours we had available. Right from the boat ride and him explaining the history of every ghat; to the evening Aarti which he organised for us to perform with the priest and a front row seating at Dhasawamedh ghat amongst thousands of spectators to the early morning rudrabhishek puja at Kashi Vishwanath. Last but not the least was giving us the flavors of Benaras with kachori and Kala chana breakfast, the malai toast and chai at Laxmi tea center and not to miss the malaiyo. He would’ve loved for us to have the puri subzi too but we were too stuffed and I had to make a last minute pitstop for some benarasi saree shopping. A visit to Benaras with Neleesh as your wingman is the best decision and I would highly recommend it. P.S he’s an ex radio jockey so his gift of gab is top notch h as is his command over English 😁

I had the most wonderful time with Neelesh touring Varanasi for the day. It was incredible to have someone with such knowledge of his hometown to share the experience with. He is also very funny and a warm person who makes you feel secure in a busy city, which is particularly great when traveling solo. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Neelesh.

Neelesh is a fantastic guide. He will bring you indeed to the best places and will provide you with the most essential information. But he will also show you some unusual aspects of daily life in Varasani. He is kind and thoughtful. He is extremely pleasant to have as a guide, as he will not overwhelm and bombard you with talks. He will pay attention to what you like and are keen to see and will adapt and modify his itinerary accordingly. I only spent 24 hours over the week-end after a business trip in Delhi during the week. I will definitely come back. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Neelesh.
