We hadn't booked, so just turned up and queued. It was a lovely day and the wait was only about half an hour, so really no drama.
We did not go for the guided tour, but could tell from seeing other people that the tours seemed very popular and informative.
Going round ourselves meant that we could be reasonably quick about it, but even at that you would want to leave yourself over an hour to go round, plus travelling time and wait - I would suggest that this is either a full (most of) morning or afternoon activity.
All in all a really good museum, not just about Oskar Schindler, but more documenting the build up to the start of WW2 in Poland and then the history of the country and specifically Krakow through to the fall of communism.
I would certainly recommend the museum if you had one cultural thing to do whilst you are in Krakow. I felt that this was a good compromise when I did not want to go to Auschwitz when we were only there for a very short period of time (I have previously been to Sachsenhausen).

Good but………
This provides a great overview of Poland primarily through WWII. We did the guided tour (our guide was great) and personally I think poor comments probably come from those who don’t get a guided tour.
Pros: immersive, interactive, story telling approach (Reminded us of House of Terror in Budapest) and also thought provoking.
Cons: DO NOT FORGET VALID ID (Photos of ID will not be accepted and you will have to buy a “non named ticket” on the door…..) this is archaic and over the top for such an exhibit. I can see why it’s important for some sites but this factory isn’t one of them. There were a number of people in our guided group who all had this experience and if you can buy a “non named ticket” the rule isn’t there for security…. It felt like being conned tbh and left a sour taste in the mouths of many. Also not the best for those with mobility challenges (scooters or prams) - very tight in places

Refused entry to Oscar Schindlers Factory, Krakow
4 days ago my partner and I booked tickets with Head Out for the Oscar Schindlers Factory tour in Krakow for the following day. We arrived with what we thought was sufficient I.D. for admission only to be informed that it was not, although similar I.D. with other visitors was accepted. My partners actual passport was demanded for entry which she didn't have, and the screen shot of her passport on my phone was also declined. It was though the Head Out staff member was picking and choosing who he wanted to admit and who he didn't, despite us paying good money in a prior booking to be there. By refusing my partner entry she was treated poorly by the staff member which upset her. Contacting other staff afterwards we were informed there would be no refund, but alternative tickets were offered for the following day which were no use to us because we were returning home then. We shall never book through this company again and advise others no to either.

Don’t expect to see much of the factory as it was
A bit disappointing In that the factory tour is very limited to the offices and those have mostly been repurposed as a general exhibition about the treatment of the Polish people of all persuasions under the Nazi regime . Not that much relevant to the factory or the people who were working there at the time , more about the general context between 1939 and 1944, but still a disturbing story

Amazing and worth it
Fantastic tour. Guide was knowledgeable and the museum is incredible. Wish we had more time to explore the museum but the tour had great facts we would not have got on the museum alone.

Oskar Schindler's Factory: a visit not to be missed.
As with the Auschwitz tour, we booked through Super Cracow. While the Auschwitz tour was incredibly disappointing due to an unpleasant guide who was clearly in a hurry to finish her day, this tour was perfect... thanks to another guide from the operator Super Cracow, named Agnieczka. First of all, this "fabrik" converted into a museum is exceptional: the place is immersive, we learn a lot about the context of pre-war and wartime Krakow, which allows us to better understand and recognize the actions of Oskar Schindler and the courage of the Jewish workers who held on and made it through this madness. Next, we were lucky to be led by Agnieczka, who speaks impeccable French and knew how to take the time to answer our questions and provide a sober, enlightened, and intelligent tour. A real success.

Disappointed
Just an entrance ticket, no option of a guided tour. A entrance ticket can be purchased from the museum for 60zty. (£12). Buy directly from the museum and save some money.

Fascinating tour of a thought-provoking museum
We booked this only a few days before and there were no individual tickets available on the days we were in Krakow, we had to book a guided tour through Headout. The ticket was timed and you wait outside the building until a member of staff comes out to introduce you to your guide, checks your ticket and invites you in. I presume this is because the foyer/ticket area is pretty small for the amount of people visiting. Please note! You did need to have id. They make this clear when you book, but even if you have a ticket and no id they won't let you in. We were glad we had the guided ticket. Our guide was warm, engaging and full of many stories. He really brought Krakow in this period alive. An individual tickets would be good if you prefer to take the factory museum at your own pace and don't mind reading lots of information boards. The museum.itaelf is wonderfully done with lots of evocative settings and information taking you through from just before war broke out to the end of the war. The film of Krakow in 1939, lots of.amiling faces and 'normal' life was very affecting. The setting in Oskar Schindler's enamel factory is inspired.

Fantastic journey long on the legs
I used Headout and got the guide Ewa .. she was fab. So knowledgeable and very patient. She really looked sfter my hubby who was bad on his legs.I will say if you are booking this with the Ghetto tour ..its lots of walking so be prepared. The Schindlers Factory tour only shows a few things about this ..most is about the Jews and the oppression of Krakow. Really good but just be aware.

Super confusing getting your tickets.
The museum was nice; but trying to gain entry was very confusing. There are no signs posted outside so everyone who comes up with their timed tickets are asking the people in line what's going on. You have to wait until your time to go inside to get your tickets. We bought our tickets online at tripadvisor, they said we had to wait outside. They didn't say that a person was waiting for us outside to go get our tickets for us. I don't know why they couldn't have just issued them at the ticket booth, instead of waiting for a guy to get them for us. It was all very confusing. The museums write-ups in English are worn off in many places, so they're hard to read.
