A fantastic way to discover a different side of Australia! The private tour took us beyond the usual tourist spots and gave us a chance to experience beautiful nature and wildlife up close. Wildlife expert
We visited Sydney three years ago and had Matt as a tour guide we thought he was great then and when we had the opportunity to have him as our tour guide for this visit we booked him as our guide. Matt is a great guide and very flexible with the schedule. He is a true bushman! Our tour started with him showing us various leaves and how they could be used to clean, other leaves that were used for wounds and medicinal purposes. we were leaving an area and noticed a white barked tree with what looked like a black rope running up the tree. He pulled over and pulled some of the bark off the tree to show us that the black rope was actually termites and a good source of protein in the bush. He did eat them, we passed on the opportunity to taste them! We enjoyed the visit to the Sanctuary and the opportunity to pet the animals. The magic garden was very special and the lunch on the beach was exceptional. It was a great day full of educational activities, learning about how to survive in the bush and the history of Sydney. A wonderful day spent with a very creative guide.

Highlight of Sydney
What can I say.....meeting Matt was the highlight of our time in Sydney
Matts passion and enthusiasm for what he does sweeps you along to such a memorable experience
The trip covers so much and is so varied. We learnt about plants, the land, history and visited stunning locations and saw aboriginal carvings which was amazing
The visit to the animal sanctuary was the best. The close up experience with Chilli the Koala is something I'll never forget and feeding time with the kangaroos, wallabies and Emus was magic . You can see the hard work and dedication by the whole team helping rescue all these wonderful animals
Matt is so friendly and a wicked sense of humour the time just flew by and we absolutely loved every minute of this tour
Matt puts so much into personalising what you want to see and his years of expertise really shows
We are so glad we booked this tour....don't miss out you will have the best time

Outstanding
Of all the things we did in Sydney this was by far the best. I'm so glad that I saved this until the last day and saved the best until last.
This is the ultimate "Australia in a day" trip. We experienced:
- some iconic shots of the Opera House and Bridge
- got up close and personal with a koala
- spent some magical time at a wildlife sanctuary watching the free running (hopping) kangaroos and wallabies
- made friends with random cockatoos
- saw parrots, stingless bees and kookaburras
- ate delicious fresh oysters
- saw spectacular views of the Hawksbury River - experienced a mangrove boardwalk and tasted some authentic wild sarsaparilla
- saw 4000 year old aboriginal carvings
- spent time at stunning beaches and explored rock formations and pools
- had a delicious relaxing lunch at a super cool surfing spot.
The entire day was spent with the company of not only a fantastic guide but a very nice person. We enjoyed spending the time with Matt as much as we did experiencing the things he shared with us.
This is the number one tour in Sydney if you want to get away from the city and see the fabulous scenery and wildlife in the surrounding areas.
Avoid the big bus tours and trust Matt to share his Australia with you.

The BEST experience you could have of Sydney!
If you do ANYTHING while you’re in Sydney, take Matt’s tour!!! We had the absolute BEST day learning about the Australian bush, aboriginal knowledge, neat plants, petting the FLUFFIEST animals, and taking in gorgeous sites. Matt is one of a kind and we will be talking about this tour as a highlight of our trip, no doubt🤩

Although, I have to admit, photographing your portraits was quite a challenge. I’m pretty sure there was a secret agreement between you two that whenever one of you had your eyes open, the other would close theirs! We eventually got there, though!

Grandsons are hard to please, but Matt did it!
Matt was a lovely, creative, responsive guide who provided an informative and funny day for grandmother and grandson alike. We learned a lot about the country, the animals, the humor, and enjoyed our ATV off-roading adventure. Matt can craft a fabulous day covering your groups interests.

Best tour of our trip
This is the kind of tour people remember long after the experience.... Within the first few minutes, we knew it was going to be a great day. Within the first hour, we felt like we were on a road trip with our friends. From booking to pick up, from suggestions to surprises, this was a day like no other. Matt was absolutely stellar from beginning to end - and it is the one tour we kept talking about afterwards. From the ATV ride in the rain (sooo much fun!), to kangaroos and wallabies at the Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary to the many surprises Matt built into our day (don't want to give too much away), the day was phenomenal. We saw so much, and learned so much from Matt, that it was truly a highlight of our journey to Australia. We laughed and talked and walked and learned. Lunch at Avoca Beach was fabulous. We highly recommend Matt - and if we make it back to Australia, we'll definitely be booking another day with him.

Best tour ever
There are not enough words to describe how great was this tour.
Being a private tour, you can choose your sights and a time you spend at each of those. We had a Sydney city tour just the day before so this was the perfect opportunity to see more of the beautiful nature. Matt was great and he and he shared so many interesting insights in such an engaging way that we never feel bored.
The stop at the wildlife park with all of the Australian wildlife was a blast, as we had a close encounter with koalas & kangaroos. It was a colder windy day but Matt had everything planned and brought wind jacket for us to use (he also had some chocolates & champagne stocked in the vehicle for us to enjoy).
He also took a bunch of high-quality photos for us, with his camera (not a phone), and email those to us at the end of the day. You will not regret booking this tour as it is great way to see sights that you probably never see with a large group tour, and we cannot recommend Matt highly enough (he also have a great taste in music)

Unforgettable Sydney experience
Matt was the best decision we made for our short but sweet Sydney experience! Our time was super limited but our day spent with Matt checked a lot of boxes plus more! He took us to places that were off the beaten path and gave us a locals view of Sydney. He was great with the kids and adults as well. He is also a great photographer who shared all of his pictures with us at the end of the day. Couldn’t recommend him more!! Thanks Matt!
