We visited Mount Palccoyo and found a great alternative to Vinicunca. The trail is lighter, the colorful landscapes are beautiful and there are fewer people, which left the experience more peaceful and photogenic. We went in December and it was snow, but still it was beautiful. We recommend for those who want the view of the colorful mountains without the exhausting walk.

Machu Picchu Peru tours
The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

It was exceptional! 🤩🤩
The experience was extraordinary. We booked for 12 people all tours with this agency and it was extraordinary from start to finish. On this particular tour of the colorful mountain, our driver was Ephraim and our guide Erick and we could not have had better people on this trip. They were extraordinary, we laughed a lot and Erick was always patient with us at all times. Not only do we recommend the Enterprise, but we also recommend Erick as a tour guide.

Snow covered mountains, cannot see nothing
The rainbow mountains covered with snow for a few days, before we got there. The guide didn’t mention anything when we left early in the morning so we could not see anything.

The Best of All Experiences! Alex is the Best Guide
What can we say about our experience in Peru? We can say it was fantastic, we learned much more than landscapes, history, culture and a lot of love for the profession.
Our Guide Alex made us cry on the day of departure, as he is our main longing for Peru, through his eyes and knowledge we gained 1,000 years of studies and learned a little more about Inca culture.
He presented us with Snow, something none of us imagined we would see.
It was exciting.
If you go to Peru, hire Machu Picchu Tours, and ask Alex as a Guide and Mr. Fernando as a Driver and of course the boy Giovani to take your photos.
We will not return to Peru, because there is still a whole world to explore.
But if we return one day, it will be to visit a brother that Dios e la Madre tierra gave us ALEX.
