Crew were very knowledgeable but far too overcrowded and this affected our enjoyment. Each time a whale or dolphin was spotted everyone rushed to see and due to the sheer number of people it made the whole experience very unpleasant.

Amazing adventure! So glad we booked it. We saw 6 whales and a pod of bottle nosed dolphins. Went swimming by Cabo Girao point, while the catamaran stopped for all of us to enjoy. The captain was super considerate of the amazing wild animals and didn’t disturb them at all. Highly recommend! Would do it again next time we are in Madeira.

A very enjoyable experience and definitely worth doing while visiting Madeira. The dolphin show was entertaining and well organised, with plenty of opportunities to see the animals up close. The staff were friendly and professional throughout. While it didn’t quite reach a five-star experience for us, it was still a memorable activity and one that both adults and children can enjoy. Worth considering if you’re looking for something different to do during your stay.

We have done a Magic Dolphin sea safari before so opted for the catamaran trip this time. We pre-booked with Viator before our trip and arrived at the meeting point 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Boarding was quick and easy and we set off bang on time. We saw a large group of spotted dolphins very quickly then went on to see bottlenose dolphins, a sea turtle, 3 types of whale, a large amount of birds and some flying fish! We were informed each time there was a sighting and where on the boat it was best to see them and the information given was very interesting. There was a bar selling drinks and snacks and toilets were available. An excellent trip out!

A lovely trip out: managed to see some spotted dolphins and a turtle, and have a swim in the ocean. The ship took us to the east side of the island before turning round and heading to the west side! The guys on board were very knowledgeable and knew their stuff. I would highly recommend this trip, and appreciate the beauty that lives in the oceans

The boat left on time, group size was good, boat wasn’t over crowded. All crew were super friendly and informative. For the first half of the trip, when going against waves the boat was bit rocky so if you get seasick easily, might want to prepare yourself. We saw dolphins and whales, and beautiful views of the island.

During our stay in Funchal also made a trip with a large catamaran from Sea Born to spot dolphins. Beautiful boat with ample seating. Trip takes 3 hours. The owner/guide had time for a chat for everyone and gave information about the dolphins we spotted. On board opportunity to buy drinks and snacks. At the height of Gabo Girao opportunity to take a refreshing dip. Nice trip.

It was a lovely boat ride, the staff was nice, and we got to see dolphins and a supermarket whale! Overall, great experience. Loved how they told us what the rules where and then followed them!
