We had an absolutely fantastic time on our tour with Kefalonia Excursions! We did the €35 tour including the incredible Melissani Caves, and it was honestly such great value for money. A huge shout-out to our tour guide, Maria, who was absolutely incredible. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We learnt so much about Kefalonia, its history and the places we visited, and Maria was brilliant at bringing everything to life. The tour was really well organised, enjoyable from start to finish, and the Melissani Caves were simply breathtaking. For €35, the amount we got to see and learn was amazing, genuinely fantastic value for money. We would 100% recommend Kefalonia Excursions to anyone visiting the island. Thank you so much to Maria and the team for such a memorable day! :)

Great experience! Memi and Nikos provided a very memorable day for us. Both are knowledgeable and shared the island history with us throughout the day. In addition, each stop has its own history which was fascinating to see and learn about. It is a trip well worth taking!

Our guide Tia was amazing & our driver Mikis very calm & professional on the busy tricky roads around the island. Tia was very knowledgeable & about the places we visited & the island. She managed to make sure we kept queuing to a minimum not easy in the middle of August. We would highly recommend the trip. You get to see a lot of the island in a day & gives you ideas of where you would like to spend more time in the future. Spectacular views throughout . Thank you Tia & Mikis ❤️

We had an absolutely brilliant day with [Kefalonia Excursions] visiting the monastery, vineyard, Drogarati Cave, Melissani Lake, Fiscardo, and the incredible viewpoints over Myrtos Beach. Our guide Wendy was outstanding throughout the trip. She was extremely knowledgeable and brought the island to life with fascinating stories about the saint of Kefalonia, the history of the devastating earthquakes, and plenty of insight into local food and traditions. Her storytelling made every stop much more meaningful and memorable. Wendy, originally from Derby in the UK, has lived in Kefalonia for 13 years, and her passion for the island really shows. She shared so much local knowledge that you wouldn’t get just travelling around on your own. Our driver Dimitri was also excellent — very skilled, calm on the mountain roads, and made the whole journey feel safe and comfortable. Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kefalonia. A perfect way to see the island’s highlights while learning about its culture, history, and people.

We went on the bus tour to the north of the island stopping off for wine tasting then on to the monastery (which unexpectedly opened). The Drogarati caves are quite amazing. There were only five of us from our tour that went in but they are well worth a visit. Melissani Lake is another must visit place. Lots of beautiful scenery and another harbour side stop for lunch. Lots of information from our guide Maria. All in al a great day out.

This tour was perfect in so many ways. The tour guide was so passionate about her home and it was amazing to learn so many things about Kefalonia. We met the coach at the excursion office and were whisked away towards our first stop - Dorgarati. Along the way, our tour guide told us everything that we need to know about the island and its history. When we arrived at Drogarati, our guide arranged tickets for us and explained that we needed to go down a lot of steps - she gave us the option to skip Drogarati tickets and just get some for Melissani but we decided to do both. Our guide told us how long we had in the caves and where to meet her afterwards. The cave was incredible - nothing like anything I’ve ever seen before. After this, we started heading towards Melissani lake. When we arrived there, we were told that it was extremely busy - something that happens whenever a cruise ship is in port on the island - and were given the option to either wait or to head to our last stop and change the order of the tour. We decided to do the latter and headed for Myrtos. We passed through a lovely shopping area which our guide told us all about and apologised that we wouldn’t have enough time to stop - completely understandable given the circumstances, before being taken up to a viewing spot above Myrtos beach - the most INCREDIBLE site I have ever seen. Our guide told us all about how the water becomes that colour and gave us plenty of time to take photos. We then went back to Melissani and joined the looooong queue. Our guide offered to stand in line for us so we could wait in the shade since it was so hot, but the majority of the tour decided to wait in line anyway. It took about 50 minutes to reach the ticket office and then another 20 minutes or so to make it to the lake, but we understood this because our guide explained that everyone who visits the island want to see the lake, and there were a lot of people on the island that day! Once we reached the lake it was magnificent, well worth the wait. When we got back on the bus and headed back to the excursion office, our guide allowed us some quiet time as we were all exhausted. When we got back to the office, our guide told us that the driver was happy to drop us straight back to our cruise ship - amazing! We can’t fault the trip at all and definitely want to head back to Kefalonia again soon, thank you so much for a wonderful day!

This excursion was perfect for us. Half day and made it back to cruise ship with time to spare. Caves and beach were exactly what we wanted to see and our guide was awsome! She was very educated on the sites and gave us a lot of history while also being mindful of our timing and any needs we might have throughout the day. Prompt and professionial outfit and we would hightly recommend!!
