We did the food walk with Hieu. He was really good and the vegan dishes we tasted were very good. There were 10 locations and we were full by the end of the walk. Hieu also told us stories of the area which was a really nice addition and gave us a great pani puri recommendation (flower market :p)
A must-try food experience: Saigon Vegan Food Walk. The Vegan Food Walk in Saigon was one of my favorite experiences while traveling in the city. It is something everyone should try when they visit. Our food guide was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and the way she did everything made it feel as if we were going out casually with a local friend instead of attending some type of scheduled event. For the first three hours, we sampled many hidden gems that serve 100 percent vegan dishes that you will probably never discover on your own. Each sample had a different flavor or texture, such as BBQ Seitan noodle samples that were all the right amount of spicy to the rich and delicious Vietnamese/indian curry, and then there are the sweet treats of Mekong steamed banana cakes. Of particular note, we discovered two foods that stood out. One was the carrot cake without carrots, and another was the sampling of exotic fruits that offered completely new tastes to me. But what really distinguished this tour from other tours was not only the variety of food, but the stories and history behind each restaurant. She delivered these stories and histories in a fun, easy-to-understand format that gave us a real feel for how locals view Saigon. Additionally, we visited locations that few tourists ever get to see. These include a Communist era apartment building (the largest in the area), and a large local market located deep into the city's winding streets. Another plus of this tour is a free Vegan Food Guide to Vietnam. This was a huge help during the remainder of our trip because it provided us with suggestions and tips on where to go for great vegan food. Instead of just being about trying good food, this tour allowed people to connect with others who share similar interests, create memories, and discover aspects of Saigon that few tourists know exist. I think our host's enthusiasm and genuine interest helped make this food walk a relaxed and enjoyable experience. When I finished the tour, I wasn't hungry anymore. I had gained a greater understanding of Saigon's vegan community, its culture, and the overall vibe of the city.
The tour with Hieu and Spring was a lot of fun! We had vegan street food dishes that we would never have tried without them! Great experience!

Hieu is such a lovely guide. He took into consideration my food allergies and preferences. It was a great experience as I not only tasted great street food but also learnt bits and bobs about Vietnam. He gave me great recommendations for the rest of my trip as well.
What a memorable night! Don’t hesitate to book this great tour with Spring. Not only did we try a lot of delicious vegan food, we also explored less touristy areas we’d never have found on our own. It was wonderful to talk to Spring as she expertly navigated us through busy city traffic on our way to the next lovely bite. I loved the evening😍 We were a small group of two girls. It felt like meeting friends for dinner. Spring, our guide, took us to many places I wouldn’t have found myself and shared also some of the “behind the scenes”. The food was amazing, so was the company😍 Highly recommend!!

What a great evening with Spring. I am a solo female traveller and I felt very at ease on this tour. I particularly appreciated Spring helping me to book a grab at the end and waiting with me until it arrived. I would 10000% recommend booking this tour with Spring! She was so lovely. It was just her, my boyfriend and I and I felt like we all got on really well. She was a perfect mix of personable and funny, with also being super knowledgeable. The food itself was fantastic. I ate and enjoyed every single thing! My boyfriend is a bit more picky and Spring was super accommodating for him. It was really sweet, at one point he avoided dipping his summer role into some soy sauce. Then at the next location we had Vietnamese pancakes with a peanut dip, mine mixed with soy sauce and she mixed his with something else which he really enjoyed. I just thought it was super sweet that he didn’t even mention it but she took note and improved his experience. 10/10 would definitely book again when revisiting Ho Chi Mihn!
