Great hike with great views! I visited Kigali on a short solo trip and wanted to see some sights. Serge set me up with this hike and a timely professional driver for a one-day Bisoke Volcano climb (which was difficult but awesome). Serge is respectful and good company; I would recommend Rwagasabo for all groups or solo visitors like me looking to explore Rwanda. I'll be booking with them again when I come back! I hiked the Mountain Kigali Trail and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The trail offered beautiful views of Kigali and the surrounding hills, with lush greenery and peaceful nature throughout. The paths were well marked and varied in terrain, which made the hike both enjoyable and rewarding. The location was convenient and accessible, and the scenery along the way made it worth every step. This was one damn good and fulfilling track up the mountain. And most of all Serge Placide made the entire hike more entertaining. With this activity you get to quickly explore the other beautiful side of Kigali you would rarely side. Plus the food at Fazenda Sengha exquisite. Highly recommend.
This tour is great if you're looking for a fun little adventure from Kigali. My guide, Serge, was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to get along with. The hike to Mt. Kigali mostly went through rural communities and was actually pretty challenging (this coming from someone who regularly hikes in the western US). It was a lot of continous uphill and uneven rocky paths. The view from the top was beautiful and the zipline course was fun. We also enjoyed some snacks and juice from the cafe up top, which was delicious!
