Every though we booked this tour we did not end up doing it. On rereading the information we noticed the times, the 4 hour tour was to begin at midnight… weird as the cable car is not open then. After a few days of trying to contact the tour operator had to reach out to Viator who were helpful. If you want to do this tour be prepared for anytime and little or no contact. Also unlike anything else we have booked through Viator it has a “ no cancellation “ policy. My advice is pre book tickets, uber there and enjoy the experience!
No one showed up to pick me for event. Hotel tried local #s but phone was off. I had chat with Viator support for 1.5 hours, final was told I will get refund. What about inconvenience, waste of my precious time and frustration?
I was not given the option to choose a time and was told that tit would be a 3pm pick up. I later found out the reason being that no one likes to work Sundays and they had to wait for a driver from another tour (wineries) to finish that tour before being able to collect me. They also never bothered to find out if the cable cars were operating, so when we arrived, we discovered the cable cars had stopped for the day. It was a complete waste of time. When I requested a refund, they only refunded a 1/3 of the price which I complained about, but have yet to receive a response. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR, MUCH CHEAPER AND CAN EASIER TO WORK WITH YOUR OWN SCHEDULE IF YOU UBER IT AND BOOK CABLE CAR TICKET DIRECT, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY WITH SERVICE BEFORE AND AFTER.
Tony was excellent. Got us to the cable car timely and made sure we got in on first cable car. Great excursion from checkout to boarding cruise ship. Highly recommend.
Walking the mountain top and journey to the top by cable car. We were collected by a taxi. The only negative was that we had to make the contact to the tour company the day before the trip rather than the other way round!
We had a 10 day visit in cape town for our Christmas holidays. All our transportation throughout our time here was taken care of by Mutore Tours, from the air port and all around Cape town. I found Mutore very keen on time keeping and also well versed with the history of the City and had valuable input on the beautiful sites we were to visit. Absolutely beautiful, worth the wait in the queue for the cable car up and down , ( timed Pre booked tickets make no difference!) wonderful Walks up top with amazing views, not a great choice of food, and bring a light jacket as it can get breezy up there!!
