We met the guide at the agreed spot. He took over from there. Transportation to and from Dachau was provided and the guide explained everything perfectly.

Even though it’s a heavy subject, it would only be worth it if you’re a history buff. I left appreciating how well the German embrace their history and will remember this place forever when I complain about my first world problems. If you want to read everything, skip the tour guide and wander on your own. For me, the tour was info overload and too long but I took pictures of textures (stone, brick, etc.) that will be a good art project.

The perfect experience for someone wanting to learn about this somber place. Our guide was excellent and shared lots of powerful stories about the camp. She answered questions with depth and detail not often found. The early start was also an added plus because the camp was empty when we arrived. The logistics were perfect and timing was great. As a High School History teacher I have high expectations for history tours and Alieen nailed it!

I would highly recommend visiting Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial. Our guide, Jamie, was excellent, and answered our array of questions incredibly well. The site itself was sobering, and a piece of history I was glad to have Jamie guide us through.

I completed the Dachau Memorial tour with Jamie and had a really great experience. Jamie was very knowledgeable, and shared the history in a way that was easy to understand and very respectful. He explored so many topics including: the rise of Hitler and the Natzi party, survivor stories and general knowledge about how the Dachau camp evolved. I learned so much and truly appreciated the time and effort he put into making the tour meaningful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting.
