金沢発祥の九谷焼は、鮮やかな色彩と繊細なデザインで有名な日本磁器の特徴的なスタイル。市内唯一の九谷焼の窯元として、1870年（明治3年）創業の九谷高専窯は、現在も地域屈指の陶芸工房として親しまれている。窯元では、繊細な絵付けや釉薬などの技術に特化した熟練した職人が、昔ながらの技術で精緻な手仕事による陶器を製作しています。九谷焼の絵付け技術を学ぶまたとない機会です。約1時間のワークショップで、白紙の器にスケッチや絵を描き、日本のパレットから好みの色を選んでデザインします。後日、九谷伝統の顔料を使い、選んだ色をもとに熟練の職人が仕上げます。塗装後、窯で焼き上げ、約3ヶ月以内に発送いたします（送料は自己負担となります）。

Nice quick activity and the end product ships home

It’s a lovely activity. We were two adults but it is suitable for older children (tweens and teens) as well. You will do line drawings and then paint the silhouette of the art you want colored. Coloring doesn’t happen then - you label a map and the kiln staff colors it. The plate, bowl or mug will ship to you in about 3 months. We wished there has been more time but it was a nice activity.

Interesting experience and creative morning.

As a potter it was so fantastic to get a tour and explanations of a 5 generation man from the Kutani potter family. All questions were answered. We got enough time to finish the pots and it is just a pity one cannot go through the whole proces (that would take many more days/weeks. This gave everything I could expect.
