We caught the ferry from Volendam to Marken and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a cool showery day for the ride but this just made the experience even more enchanting. The staff on the ferry were friendly and welcoming

By checking online, we had understood that the ferry was the only way or the most convenient way to reach Marken...in reality, you can arrive comfortably by car via a recent connection...the parking lot is also large and convenient. Going back, we would go by car also because for four people the ferry cost about 65 euros...otherwise nothing special...slow-paced crossing, landscape not particularly interesting, hot because you are without cover, background music by Julio Iglesias.

Went by boat from Volendam to Marken on August 6th. Beautiful trip. On this trip I lost a little piece of my mother. That was found and sent to me by the company. What a fantastic service!!!!

Because my mother of 82 has difficulty walking, bought digital tickets online in advance. Upon arrival I just had to queue to convert this digital card into a physical card. Very amazing in this digital world! Fortunately, the nice captain allowed my mother to board while I was in line.

A very nice cruise on the Ijsselmeer with a nice view of the harbors from the boat. The combination between Volendam and Marken is a very nice day out in your own country. The sailing times are ideal so you don't have to wait too long. It would be useful if you could scan your online ticket, so that you don't still have to wait in line.

Very pleasant, quiet experience. Maybe a little more legroom between the seats for grown-ups.

A huge lake which used to be saltwater, now freshwater (Don't ask me how) one of the largest in Europe, we took a boat from Marken to Volendam, it took about 30 minutes. A nice pleasant cooling trip.

The Volendam-Marken express is included in the IAMsterdam card, allowing you to travel the route from Volendam to Marken and back, with the option to bring bicycles on board. The journey lasts about 30 minutes and is excellent for visiting the two beautiful and very characteristic towns. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind staff.
