ヴォルビリスは、モロッコ北部、ワディのほとりのサイス平原に位置するマウレタニア王国の首都であったポエニ・ベルベル都市の古代遺跡に建設されたローマ都市の名残です。メクネス郊外のローマン川。ユネスコの世界遺産の一つです。
ムーレイ ドリス ゼルフーン モロッコ最初の偉大なイスラム統治者イドリス 1 世の墓があることで有名で、この都市の名前は彼の名にちなんで付けられています。
メクネスはモロッコ北部の都市です。アーチとモザイクのある巨大な門、バブ マンスールなどの遺跡があり、帝国時代の過去で知られています。門は古代帝国都市に通じています。 17 世紀にこの都市を首都としたスルタン ムーレイ イスマイルの霊廟には、中庭と噴水があります。

Good ruins. I didn't use a guide. The signs around the ruin are in French, Arabic, Spanish, and English so everything is easy to understand.

Our driver was pleasant and spoke reasonable English. The car was very comfortable. Good at dropping us off and picking up at designated places. Provided some interesting background on life in Morocco/Fez. Our guide at Volubilis was poor. Please be prepared to choose a knowledgeable guide at the site who speaks your language fluently.

If a guide is arranged directly upon arrival at Volubilis, the official guides work on a rotation system. In this case, we are required to take the next available guide in the rotation, and we cannot personally choose which guide will accompany our guests. However, when a guide is reserved in advance, the agency has the possibility to arrange and select a specific professional guide based on availability. In your case, the guide was arranged upon arrival and therefore followed the official rotation system at Volubilis, which was outside of our direct control. This is a must do trip out of Fez. The ruins are incredible and the site is really well laid out with information. The other cities give you a greater understanding of the religion and culture. Our driver was first class with his knowledge, English and driving ability. I highly recommend this tour

Everything about the day exceeded our expectations. To start with we received a message from our driver/guide the night before informing us that it was a religious holiday and many of the sites we were going to got visit would be closed. (We do wish that Travelocity would have informed us of this!) We asked about options and decided to switch our trip to focus on the Cedar Forest and Atlas Mountains. We also pushed out the start time. Our driver Sufyan was amazing from the start. Incredibly flexible. Personable. Such a wealth of knowledge about the sites we visited and the history of Morocco. We had a wonderful day, even though the villages we visited were much quieter due to the holiday. Sufyan wa able to think on his feet and create a custom itinerary to make up for the effect of the holiday. Having a private experience was totally worth the extra cost! We would highly recommend any tour with Sufyan!
