The driver was awesome, and the bird sanctuary was worth it, especially if you have kids. Oh, just a quick note: it's $30 for adults, not $25, at the bird sanctuary. I had the best driver, and he made the trip there fun and exciting!
Lovely quiet trip off the beaten track. Not commercial and no hard sell. A great experience. Only an hour there but wonderful native birds and beautiful view. Well worth a visit.
Amazing place!!! Be aware tho the price is now $30 each not $25 as stated when we booked. Would deffo recommend. The birds are so tame. Perfect way to have spent my birthday!
The bird sanctuary is beautiful! The gentleman tour guide sat us down right away on a beautiful deck surrounded by lush forest. We were given nectar and almost immediately we were feeding hummingbirds! I’m a bird lover so this was special to me but I believe anyone who loves nature would enjoy.
Amazing place! We really enjoyed it! It's difficult to get to, but we loved it up there so much. A lot of humming bird interactions (be patient), lizards, doves, and other birds. Incredible view of Montego Bay as well!
The Rockland Bird Sanctuary is a wonderful place to enjoy the birds and nature of Jamaica. The access road is difficult to find: drive uphill on the B8 in Reading and turn left before Anchovy and bump up the very steep Rockland Drive. Visitors can expect countless hummingbirds, which you can feed yourself. If you want, you can take a walk in the surrounding forest for an additional fee. The diversity of nature is incredible, and the staff at the sanctuary are friendly and knowledgeable.
We we're never picked up or contacted. Bird Feeding Sanctuary & M-Bay Tour 2/24 HORRABLE! Once we called them, they made nothing but excesses. Do Not Trust them!

I gave a three star review because I must say I was expecting a bit more. First and foremost I was the only when there at the time of my visit. Though it was fun feeding the different species of birds it would have been more enlighting if the host had provide general background knowledge about the birds..after like 10 minutes I was very bored. Like Isthis it, is there anything else to see or do.. I was expecting more birds, a tour or something. There really was no introduction before proceeding to feed the birds.

Kids (and us too!) enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds and finches! That’s about it, nothing else to do or see. There’s a separate entrance fee and it is a privately owned property. About a 20-min rocky ride from Montego Bay city limits, but an hour ride one-way from our Iberostar resort. Worth only if there’s nothing else to do and you want an activity not too far off from your location.
Andrae made sure we were well taken care of. Sourced a driver for us and it was a really great experience. Top tier service and I definitely recommend.
