The castle is very nice to see on the outside, the interior is much barer, the "spiral" staircase is mainly interesting. I recommend taking a walk only outside maybe having a picnic if the day allows.

A little disappointed, not by the imposing exterior building. Inside, despite an unusual visit of 3 hours the discoveries remain few. This castle is hopelessly empty and for good reason it has never really been inhabited. We preferred Cheverny even if smaller, but he habitable, inhabited and perfectly maintained. Chambord is finally a cash machine, more than a discovery.
