We booked both the City Tour and the Sachsenhausen Tour with Guy, and we weren't disappointed. Guy was even able to accommodate a change in timing at short notice. He clearly has an extensive knowledge of the city and its history, and we enjoyed the ability to have good humoured discussions about the history, politics, and daily Berlin life from the point of view of an expat who has an appreciation of Germany's place in the world, having married a local and lived here long term. From the comfort of his vehicle, we gained an excellent overview of the main sights of the city without the rigid group tour standard spiels. The Sachsenhausen Tour was beset by miserable weather, but that befit the serious subject matter, emphasising how horrible that period must have been. The hotel pick-ups and trip down the autobahn were a bonus.

I found Guy's website late one evening and contacted him about his tours and also whether he would do a tour variation to enable me to visit villages north of Berlin where my family lived in the 1860's. Following his very positive response arrangements were soon made to do the Berlin City tour, Sachsenhausen and an "open" day driving in the country. Guy collected us from our hotel each morning which makes touring a breeze for visitors to Berlin. My adult son and I enjoyed his stimulating company for two days during which he provided a personalised private touring service seeing the sights of Berlin and Sachsenhausen. He has a broad depth of local and historical information which made our tours interesting, particularly with our visit to Sachsenhausen where he guided us through the camp then left us to view the museum displays in our own time. I very much appreciated Guy's preparedness to do something outside of his normal tours in taking us to see a number of country villages - it was a somewhat unplanned trip for all of us, and he was prepared to accommodate my wishes as we went along during the day. Guy went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our time in Berlin making several recommendations on places to visit and dropping us each afternoon in areas (somewhat out of his way) where we wanted to then visit. For anyone wanting to take a small, more personalised tour of Berlin and the other sights then Guy is your man. Highly Recommended. The tour guide picked us at our hotel entrance and showed us all the attractions as per itenerary and explained historical significance. Points of interest. Famous spy swap bridge Palace room where Churchill , Truman and Stalin met after 2nd world war in 1945 We also saw 2-3 palaces

Our tour guide Guy was great!! Pick us up promptly, very friendly and knowledgeable! We really enjoyed learning about Sachsenhausen.

High octane tour with loads of interesting and pointed information. The two hours went by quick! Guy is knowledgeable, witty and sharp and knows the history and historical timelines to the “T”. I felt I could have learnt more had I done some in depth “homework” about the Nazi period prior to the tour!! Best wishes.

Guy is a fantastic guy. We called him around 4pm on Wednesday to book in a tour for Thursday. 8am he pickled us both up and took us on a tour to Sachsenhausen. Nice car, comfortable. I really enjoyed talking with Guy about everything related to Germany and many other topics. He was punctual and due to some unforeseen traffic issues ended up driving around for an hour or so extra however did not make us feel rushed and dropped us right back off to our hotel. At $55 euro per person for a private tour in my opinion was unbelievable value. Very knowledgeable about the camps and very worldly. Very much enjoyed our time with Guy and would thoroughly recommend his tours to anyone in Berlin. We will be back and I hope to have the chance to meet Guy again. Thanks heaps mate for your insight, humour and honesty.

Guide was good explaining the highlights of the locations, and gave us enough time to explore on our own.
