Our guide, Mel, took us on a culinary tour of Montreal. We started with pupusas at a Salvadorian restaurant (my first pupusa - won't be the last!), then moved on to Little Italy for a canollo, then a visit to the Marché Jean-Talon for goat cheese, Syrian snacks, salmon, spices (smelling, not tasting), ice cream, and more. There was also coffee and we ended with delicious chocolate.
Mel was funny, informative, and helpful; she made sure that those of us with dietary restrictions were covered, and she told us a lot about the people who live in the areas we visited.
I really enjoyed the tour, and I'm glad we did a lot of walking before and afterwards!

Excellent experience
Amazing experience! Our guide Danny was knowledgeable, funny, warm and energetic. The itinerary was excellent - a fabulous diversity of eating adventures peppered with story and anecdotes. I’d highly recommend. Thank you Danny.

Fun local food tour
Mel was fantastic, super knowledgeable, friendly, and kept a good pace with nice stops. This was my first ever food tour. There were many no shows on our tour, which made it even more intimate and special! Highly recommend

Great food tour!
Rufus is an amazing tour guide, funny, knowledgeable and kind. We had delicious food throughout the entire experience. Absolutely recommended!

Fabulous afternoon
A really enjoyable 3 hours. Jesse was a great guide, lively informative, never boring! The food we sampled was out of this world, made even better by knowing the stories of the producers. Learned a lot about the different communities within Quebec & never hit any cliches. Definitely doesn’t feel mainstream touristy. Highly recommend

A great experience
Mel was a great guide on our Beyond the Market Food Tour. She was knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the area, the history, and the different neighborhoods. The foods we tried were all so good, it was our mistake that we didn't tell the tour beforehand that we didn't eat meat, but it didn't stop our enjoyment of the tour. Highly recommended.
