Had such an amazing time hiking with my guide. It definitely was physically and mentally however is doable!! The one day trek was perfect - I got to walk above the clouds, see the crater, see monkeys and overall enjoy the lush forest! Uji Trekking made me feel so safe especially doing this hike solo!
I booked a one-day sunrise trek to Mount Rinjani with Oji Trekking, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Before the trek, I asked for the fastest guide possible, and they truly listened to my request. I was paired with Dery, who was not only an incredibly strong guide but also kind, flexible, professional, and great fun to be around. One of my wishes was to move at a faster pace and even run parts of the trail. Dery happily adapted to my pace, and we were able to run a large section of the route together, which made the experience even more special and memorable for me. Throughout the trek, he took exceptional care of me and made me feel like a queen. His positive energy, encouragement, and attention to detail made a challenging hike feel enjoyable from start to finish. I whole heartedly recommend Dery to anyone looking for a faster-paced trek or simply an outstanding guide. We usually do hikes in Scotland. It was tough doing this in the high humidity and rain at the end but manageable. If we had more time we would have done the the 2 days and 1 night - if you do the overnight, make sure to bring plenty of tips for the porters who are absolute heros for carrying all the cargo on the hike. 10/10
Attention you must be physically fit and good equipment. Guide Benji very attentive. I highly recommend.
Good tour with a great guide,but you have to be physically fit to complete the route in time, it's very demanding. The view was beautiful and it was worth the effort.
We opted for a one-day trip due to our limited time in Lombok.Despite our good physical condition,it was quite challenging.Our guide was a nice guy, we had good chat with him.Personally, I'm glad we chose a one-day trip without porters.While I understand it's a way for them to earn a living,seeing them working in such conditions made me feel bad.
