I booked this as a surprise for my partner as a birthday experience. We drove from Mil Palmeras, I would recommend giving yourself more than enough time to drive to Allicante as traffic can be slow moving. We parked in the underground parking near the port a short walk away from the pick up. We met our guide, Andrea at 12pm on the dot in the designated meeting place. From the start she was super friendly, very well spoken and we knew our day would be a pleasure. We started off by getting a little history of Allicante as we walked stopping at various place of significance. Our first taste of Allicante was at a little tapas bar in the market…..we tried a new grape variety in wine, a few tapas pieces (delicious). Moving through the market we stopped at another tapas bar, here tried a different wine and more tapas. Again delicious and an experience. During our tour through the market we had a lesson in Iberian pig and local cheese. We picked up a few bits while in the market that the stall holders were happy to keep for us while we did the tour. After the market we continued our tour finishing in another tapas bar experiencing again further local drinks and food. This is where our tour completed and we said goodbye to Andrea. Perfect Alicante afternoon.....
We had a fabulous afternoon with Silvina! Highly recommend. It was fun to see the local market and to try numerous foods and drinks from the Alicante area... with some bonus history and cultural lessons. It was a perfect shore excursion in Alicante and cannot imagine a better one. Gracias Silvina!

Wonderful way to Sample Alicante Food and Wine
My mother and I took this tour when we visited Alicante by cruise ship. The tour was wonderful, and very enjoyable! Sil planned a wonderful half day tour and chose great places to visit. She made accommodations based on some dietary restrictions I had, and catered the wine portion of the trip to fit each person’s preference. Sil ensures that the food and wine featured in the tour are all local to Alicante.
The route walked was very easy, and not too far of a distance. It was raining very heavily the day of our visit and the tour wasn’t impacted at all.

Amazing Day & Tour in Alicante; Especially for Cruisers
Wonderful day & tour in Alicante with Silvina and the Within Experience team. From booking months ago to joining the tour today we have had a great experience. Booking the tour on Viator was easy and cost effective. Silvina was on-time, very professional, and really knew Alicante. She made perfect recommendations for food and drinks. She has a tremendous passion for Alicante, wine and the food of this region. She knew the best restaurants, shops, market, etc to take us to. Although it rained like crazy today, the tour went on without incident. All locations were prepared for our tour to join them. Silvina led the tour perfectly. We had 7 guests all from the USA and from cruise ships. The tour started and ended on-time. We were easily back to our cruise ship. The Alicante Market was wonderful. We made it through the market easily while stopping at multiple locations. We were very happy with this tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone; especially cruisers to Alicante. We will take this tour again.

Excellent guided tapas and wine tour
Silvina was excellent all around. Great introduction to Alicante and history, very knowledgeable on wine both from Alicante and Spain and had some great insight into local food. We have some wonderful wines and tapas that we wouldn’t have had an opportunity to have if it were not for her guidance. She perfectly tailored the food and wine to our tastes. Great way to spend a few hours and would gladly do it again.

A wonderful day and great introduction to local foods and wines for our month long stay in Alicante . I feel I know now , how to buy premium and local foods as well as order. Guide was informative , fun and really understood food offering recipes and descriptions on how thing were made which was really fun for a foodie and cook like me . We learned a Tomatoe is not just a Tomatoe and tastier varieties we never had , tasted salt fish that we would never had the courage to try ( and it was good ) and of course learned ( with so much fun ) about levels of Iberian hams and different cheeses ! Would highly recommend !

Excellent food and wine tour in Alicante
We are so happy we did this tour in Alicante- it was an excellent introduction to the delicious food and wine of the region. Silvina was a wonderful guide- we went to several different tapas bars/ restaurants and all the tapas and wine she ordered were delicious (and she introduced us to food we would not have thought to order ourselves). We did not have to eat dinner after this tour- the tapas and wine were plentiful! We would do this tour again the next time we're in Alicante.

Highly recommend this tour
This was a very informative and enjoyable tour . Our guide Silvina was very knowledgeable, telling us lots about the local area, foods and wine, but also tge many questions we had as we walked around Alicante. We had delicious Alicante wines and local tapas( ones we would never have ordered ourselves). We would highly recommend this tour

Fabulous Day
Silvina was a wonderful host for Alicante. We had a fabulous day. She is such a great guide, so many interesting things we enjoyed and learned about the city. We were treated to outstanding, new foods, I’d never experienced and it was delicious. Great wines and many incredible Tapas showing us the flavor and hospitality of Spain. Silvina deserves every praise as she treats you like family! A must do!
