金閣寺は、もともとは1397年（応永4年）に将軍足利義満の隠居ヴィラとして建てられた。 没後、ヴィラは禅宗寺院に改築された。

We had an amazing experience during our tour of Kyoto and Nara with our tour guide, Hamza. He was so kind and accommodating to my wife and young daughter. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, helped with the stroller on several stops and made the trip feel very relaxing. We were so impressed we booked another tour with him the next day for Osaka.

This trip was organized by Live Nippon. We had an amazing day trip from Osaka to Kyoto and Nara, made truly exceptional by our guide, Bilal. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel in Osaka, everything was seamless, comfortable, and thoughtfully planned. Our itinerary included Nara Park, the beautiful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple — every location was absolutely exquisite and unforgettable. While the destinations themselves were incredible, the level of service Bilal provided truly made this experience stand out. Bilal went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and stress-free day. He was extremely accommodating with slight modifications to the itinerary, including making a special stop so we could buy matcha 🍵, which we really appreciated. His professionalism, friendliness, flexibility, and attention to detail made the entire trip enjoyable and personalized. Highly recommend this tour and especially Bilal if you’re looking for a memorable, comfortable, and well-organized Kyoto/Nara day trip from Osaka!

We had an amazing Kyoto day trip with Live Nippon and couldn’t be happier with the experience. We visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Temple) and Gion District, and everything was very well organised from start to finish. Our guide was absolutely fantastic — very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We never felt rushed at any point and were given enough time to properly enjoy each location, take photos and explore comfortably with our family. The guided explanations throughout the tour made the experience much more meaningful and enjoyable. Highly recommend Live Nippon to anyone visiting Kyoto. Excellent service and a truly memorable day.
