Wonderful full day tour from Kusadasi to Ephesus. Our tour guide Mel and driver Mehmet were very flexible in terms of our pickup, and allowed us to get the most out of the time we had. Melike was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her town, and we understand far more about the entire area and history than we did after our first time there. Thanks Mel….we really enjoyed the day
Enjoyable experience even on first rainy day of Summer. Serdar, our local guide was knowledgeable in the history of the House of Virgin Mary and Ephesus. He very polite & genuine & brought the visit to life for us. No pressure even after we attended a carpet demonstration later which was interesting!

This tour was amazing for so many reasons. Stepping foot into Ephesus, seeing the ruins, was breathtaking, transporting us back in time. Walking through the Virgin Mary’s final place gave us a spiritual experience that can’t fully be explained. Walking through the Basilica of Saint John was also surreal, to think that we were walking in the same place as those who have brought us the words of The Lord. Through it all, we were guided by the most incredible guide, Asli. Not only did she show us all of these beautiful sites, but she made us feel like family for the day. We hope to return to Türkiye and get to see the sites and her again!

Do not hesitate to take this excursion. Seeing the library of Ephesus is priceless and the house of the Virgin Mary, whether you are a believer or not, generates a unique energy for you. If you go in summer, do not hesitate to bring enough water, a hat, comfortable clothing if possible light-colored and very good footwear, because you are going to walk a lot.
We just spent a wonderful and educational day at the port of Kusadasi with Mel. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. She truly loves her home town and it shows in how she describes their customs and traditions. Our tour was customized to our interests and her recommendations. We loved having a private guide and not being in a large group. Because of Mel, we are leaving a small part of our heart in Türkiye.
