Marwa Fatafeatelsoker was our guide and she was very friendly. The driver picked us up on time but got lost picking up the guide so we wasted a bit of time. However, once we got going it was fine. We visited 2 sites, then took a bathroom stop which happened to be an alabaster shop. They didn’t pressure us much to buy anything once we made it clear that we were not interested. We continued to Medinet Habu which was amazing. Marwa explained a lot more there which made it more interesting. We are now at lunch which is included in the tour. Overall a good experience with Marwa and Abraham, the driver.

A fantastic day starting with quad biking to admire an incredible sunrise. Said was our guide for a dream morning. Smiling, kind, attentive, and professional, Said knew how to keep us interested by even teaching us a few Egyptian words. The restaurant was very clean and good. Nice tour. Valley of the workers is underrated. Requires lots of walking and steep stairs but the payoff is beautiful. Driver did a good job navigating traffic. Lunch is fair for the price. Guide Michael did a good job explaining the history. Habu temple is amazing.

We visited these 3 sites and it was very good to see the contrasts of how the common people lived and how their tombs were (compared to the Kings') . I think it is worth a visit if you want to see more of Luxor. Our guide (Abanob) was very knowledgeable and helpful and shared a few stories from the people and what they did while building the tombs of the kings. The only thing is that we took the day before another tour with the same company and got lunch at the same place (not that the food was bad, but it was the same food), and maybe since it was just half a day tour, there were some areas that felt rushed. Although we did get time to see on our own.

Today I had a private tour in Luxor, visiting Habu temple, Deir El Medina, Ramose’s tomb, and Ramesseum. Overall, a truly fantastic and fascinating experience. We left early to avoid the crowds, making the entire experience much more personal. Majed Hassan is so incredibly knowledgeable and provided me with a lot of interesting historical knowledge. Thank you to Majed Hassan, who organised this trip so quickly and was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the trip. We also want to highlight our driver, Michael – always cheerful and communicative.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, providing detailed explanations about the history, construction, and significance of the tombs. Walking through the valley, we learned about the intricate burial rituals and the beliefs surrounding the afterlife in ancient Egypt. The highlight was, of course, entering some of the most well-preserved tombs. The vibrant wall paintings inside were astonishing.

Mahmoud was the best Egyptologist we had and was very knowledgeable. He answeeeball our questions and was very patient. He took us to the best lunch with tasty food. If you need a host, he’s the one.
