Exceptional tour
Exceptional tour. Sarah, our guide is lovely. We learned so much about Portland and all it has to offer. Just the history is fascinating, we were able to ask many questions and she has a vast knowledge of the city to reference. The tram ride is spectacular. It stated our day off to a wonderful beginning.

Great guide! Beautiful views! Not worth the money!
This tour isn't really worth it. My best analogy is visiting New York and paying a tour guide to show you the subway. While the views are beautiful and our tour guide was great, this is something you definitely can do on your own. You're not getting a private tram, you're with commuters on their way to work. The tram is also only $9 roundtrip + the donut is about $5-6, so the ticket is severely overpriced. We were responsible for buying our own coffee, which even if they were covering the cost wouldn't amount to what they charge per ticket. We also had a baby with us, which we were refunded later for (thank you). But it was charged $35 for a 1.5 y/o and he didn't get a donut either, I'm assuming that was mainly why we received a refund. Again, nothing against the tour guide or our experience, just not worth the money and little misleading based on the description. Do this on your own!

Zoe, you are literally paying for the tour guide who you said was great. After Viator fees we net very little money. Which we use to pay our tour guides. We charge plenty more for tours without any inclusions, also just showing you things that you could do on your own. You can in nearly every instance do the things all of us offer on Viator yourself. After we offered a refund for your baby without your requesting it I am absolutely floored and hurt that you sent this one star review.

This was a great...
This was a great experience. You could just ride the tram, but we learned so much about the history of the area and the tram from our guide, Sarah. The donuts from Blue Star Donuts are life changing.

Not worth it
Guide was over 30 mins late. I had to call to find out who was meeting us at the coffee shop. Turned out the guide over slept. Then we found out the tickets to the tram were only $9. The price for this tour was not worth it. The guide walked us through the hospital which felt weird.

hi Claudia. we apologize again, as you know we are all human and we cannot predict when mistakes will happen; your guide also has passed along her apologies, again. the tram serves a hospital and would have felt just as weird — but without explanation— had you done it on your own. we are not hiding the cost of the tram tickets, what we offer and most of our customers appreciate is the accompaniment and stories. may your travel proceed with more grace in the future.

Tram & Treats
This was a fun experience. Our guide Sarah was informative and friendly. It was nice pace for an early morning tour. The donuts were delicious and the tram and its history was very interesting. I toured with my teenage children and we were all engaged. A beautiful way to see the city skyline.

A fun way to see a part of Portland!
Nanci, our guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was a cool experience to see the tram and hear about why it was implemented in Portland! The stop at Blue Star donuts was yummy!

Coffee at Ovation Station made the trip!
The gondola ride was nice, however, it's not really a tourist attraction, as it is a commuter tram. Both up and down rides were full of people going to work. I think throwing in the "tourist attraction" was an after thought for sure. The coffee at Ovation Station was DELICIOUS and the highlight of the trip. Donuts were very heavy and oily- not a fan-we heard a lot of history from the tourist guide though.

The tram is indeed a commuter line as we say in our tour information -- we just offer a curated ride on it and make sure you can find all the great views once you get to the top! It sounds like you liked the way the guide gave you history. I'm sorry the doughnuts weren't your style; they win best doughnuts in Portland regularly, but everyone's tastes are different.

It was a fun ride to the top and beautiful views from the hospital. Nice to enjoy the view with coffee and donuts.
