Pickup was super early via van and then ferry to cross the Nile. We waited for hours with hundreds of other travelers flying with many different companies. Good thing we scheduled our first morning in Luxor, as all flights were cancelled by the agency that regulates balloon rides. We were dropped off at a meeting point for our next tour of Valley of the Kings/Queens, rather than a returning back to our hotel. This was convenient. We did have the next day available, so we rebooked and hoped for the best. That night happened to be Egypt’s return to standard time, so clocks fell back and we were picked up an hour earlier. Same process as previous day… van, ferry across the Nile, wait hours in the dark while being pestered by vendors selling goods, mostly children. But this day the balloons went up. What a glorious sight to see the balloons inflate on the ground… have your camera ready We were given premium spots in the balloon because the workers recognized that we had returned a second day. (Most people around us the previous day couldn’t rebook, as they were leaving Luxor.) The flight was epic. It feels like nothing when you leave the ground and float through the air. We had great views of the sunrise, Valley of the Queens, and the other balloons. All went well with the flight and landing. Transfer back to our hotel was smooth. Highly recommend this experience!

Guide Abdalla and Captain Abdo gave us the best experience of our lives. It was such an organized and wonderful time. The views were beyond my imagination. I was initially hesitant on considering hot air balloon ride. They comforted us and explained every step in a very clear and reassuring way. I would recommend this experience to anyone considering a hot air balloon experience in Luxor!!! Thank you Abdalla and Captain Abdo!!

Amazing! From start to finish, pilot excellent, most gentle and well executed landing. Respectful of the farmers and avoided landing in their crops. Stunning views, the statues from the air still look huge, loved it and highly recommend, even if you don’t like heights like me.

Good flight with Abdo, the flight was great. But we were told it included the boat to cross the Nile if we were staying in east bank with tea and coffee and that did not comply. They came with a van and took us

Captain Abdo is the best pilot! He made sure that all 32 of us in the basket had a long good viewing of the historic sites.

It was a great experience! All very well organised, the safety information was well delivered and the pilot/driver was really good. I think our balloon was the only one that landed somewhere that look safe. Other balloons landed on a road or very close to electric cables. The only thing that could have made it perfect was the weather. It would have been great to see the sun rise but the clouds had other ideas!
