We arranged a Pompeii tour before boarding a cruise ship in Naples. There were a lot of logistical hurdles and we ended up asking if we could join a tour an hour earlier. We got accommodated and Romolo gave our family a great condensed visit to all the key sites. He was friendly, efficient, and well informed. He even made sure we got a cheaper ride back to the cruise terminal than what we paid getting to Pompeii! Highly recommend

Thanks to our fantastic guide Josephina, we got to see Pompeii in a relaxed manner. She seems to know every detail and could answer all of our questions. She made sure the children (7&10) were involved, and gave us time extra where we wanted. Guided us away from the crowds wherever possible and just had a very clear and precise way of explaining. We were in fact so happy with her guidance, we immediately booked her for our next day visit to Hercolaneum! Also very much worth a visit! Thank you again Josephina!!

Our guide Romolo exceeded our expectations. We had several guides during our trip to Italy and he was the best. He was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, a passion for his Pompei history and sensitivity to our needs in the extreme heat. He brought Pompei to life for us! Go later in the day when the cruise crowds are gone!! We cannot recommend him more highly.

My wife and I did the tour of Pompei with her 80 year old parents. Our tour guide, Paolo, was amazing knowledgeable about Pompei. But perhaps just as importantly, he was really patient with my wife's parents, taking walking breaks, finding shady areas to rest and going at their pace. We really appreciated this. Having said this, we also learned a ton from Paolo, who had archeology experience at Pompei, about how Romans lived and how the city has been escavated over the years. From visiting huge mansions to explaining the rock placement in the streets, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Romolo was outstanding. Very insightful and entertaining. We covered so much and the 3 hours actually felt like 30 minutes. Leave some time after the tour to explore on your own if possible.

You’re not just walking through ruins, you’re stepping into stories, history, and moments that suddenly feel real and vivid. His energy is contagious, and he has an incredible way with people, especially kids. Keeping children engaged in Pompeii is no easy task, yet he had them completely hooked the entire time. They were curious, excited, and fully immersed from start to finish. Out of everything we experienced on this trip, this was the tour we’ll be talking about for years. It was engaging, memorable, and genuinely special. I can’t recommend Romolo highly enough! If you want a Pompeii experience that’s meaningful, dynamic, and unforgettable, he’s your guide.
