グランド・モスクは416,000㎡（4,480,000平方フィート）の敷地に建設され、複合施設は40,000㎡（430,000平方フィート）の広さに及び、グランド・モスクは2001年5月4日にオマーンのスルタンによって落成式が行われ、モスクの敷地の周囲に高さ90メートル、300フィートのメイン・ミナレットが5つ建てられている。 礼拝堂は正方形で74.4×74.4メートル（244×244フィート）の中央ドームが床上50メートル（160フィート）の高さまでそびえ立ち、ドームは内部から壮観に装飾され、それ自体が主要な観光名所であり、メインのムサッラ（礼拝室）は6500人以上の礼拝者を収容でき、内部の主要なデザインは礼拝堂の床を覆う礼拝カーペットで、内包され、1,700,000,000ノット、重さ21トン、製作に4年かかり、ペルシャの古典的タブリーズ、カシャン、イスファハーンのデザインの伝統を結集し、様々な色合いの28色が使用された。
途中のグランドモスクから魚市場まで、省庁や大使館エリアをドライブします。また、素晴らしいビーチ通りをドライブし、魚と野菜市場を訪れます。地元の人々は、新鮮な魚や魚介類を支払い、販売しています。
魚市場からは、車ですぐのところにオマーン最大の伝統的なスークであるムトラ・スーク（市場）があり、ムトラ・スークは200年前にさかのぼるオマーンで最も古い市場の1つであり、マスカット港に隣接しており、インドや中国への航路の途中にあり、帆走時代には莫大な貿易があった、日中に日光が浸透せず、買い物客が目的地を知るためにランプが必要なため、暗闇にちなんで名付けられた、アル・ラワティヤ・モスクからアワー・ビンバまでの狭い範囲に市場の名前が描かれている、本当に多くの商店や屋台があり、レーンが日光を入れない場所、この古代の市場には、アンティーク、伝統的な織物、アロマスパイス、香水、銀、オマーンの菓子（ハルワ）、生鮮食品などを販売する屋台の曲がりくねった路地がある。
Mutrah souqから、オマーンの文化や歴史、王室に関する情報を綺麗に展示するバイト・アル・ズバイル博物館を訪れます。
200年以上の歴史を持つアル・アラム宮殿を、スルタン・ハイサムの第7代直系の曽祖父イマーム・スルタン・ビン・アフメドが見守る中に建てられた、金と青のファサードを持つ現存の宮殿は、1972年に王宮として再建されたが、宮殿の内部は立ち入り禁止のままであり、一般の人々は門の近くに立ち寄って写真を撮ることが許され、宮殿は公式行事に使用され、貴賓客をもてなす、アル・アラム宮殿の正門を訪れると、他のどの首都とも異なり、宮殿自体は優雅だが謙虚なデザインで、他の首都の壮麗な建造物とは異なり、洗練された大理石の表面が多く、周辺の庁舎は白く、主に儀式的な宮殿ではあるが、屋根はクレネル張りで、伝統的なオマーン様式の木製バルコニーが備えられている。
ジャラーリとミラニ砦は、古いマスカットの港にある砦で、マスカットがオスマン軍によって2度略奪された後、港を守るためにポルトガルのフィリップ1世の下でポルトガル人によって1580年に以前のオマーンの要塞に築かれ、1650年にオマーン軍に陥落し、1718年から1747年の間の内乱の間に、砦はライバルのイマームの1人を援助するために招かれたペルシャ人によって2度攻略され、後に砦は広範囲に再建された。
そこからロイヤル・オペラ・ハウスを訪れます。彼はオマーンのスルタン、カーブース・ビン・サイード・アール・サイード・スルタンは常にクラシック音楽と芸術のファンで、2001年にスルタンはオペラ・ハウスの建設を命じ、2011年10月12日に正式にオープンしました。ロイヤル・オペラ・ハウスは独特の現代的なオマーンの建築を反映しており、最大1,100人を収容できます。ロイヤル・オペラ・ハウスの複合施設は、コンサート劇場、講堂、正式な造園された庭園、小売店、高級レストランを備えた文化市場、ミュージカル、演劇、オペラの公演のためのアートセンターで構成されています。

Ali is a fantastic guide who speaks excellent English and knows how to explain everything about Muscat, Omani history and culture. It was a very valuable experience. I think I've seen more in half a day than most people have seen in two days. This tour is highly recommended.

We had a half-day private visit with Haroun who proved to be a good guide and a kind person. With us there were our children of 4 and not even a year and the latter was not very cooperative for the duration of the tour but Haroun was never impatient and indeed was really cooperative even helping us in the management. All the stops were beautiful and interesting, I recommend the trip absolutely!

Jaafar was an excellent and knowledgeable guide! We went to the Grand Mosque and observed the wonderful architecture of the buildings. In addition, we went to the fish market and fruit/vegetable market and by the Al Alam Palace for pictures. We adjusted the stops and he was very understanding and accommodating.
