The Atherton Tablelands covers a large and wonderfully diverse area, so travelling between our carefully selected stops is naturally part of experiencing the region. Along the way, our guides provide commentary about the Tablelands, its history, produce and people – something many of our guests tell us is a highlight of the day. Just to clarify the fruit wine tasting: wine grapes aren’t grown commercially on the Atherton Tablelands, so our local producers do things a little differently and make wine from tropical fruits. It’s a quirky, distinctly local tasting and intended to be a bit of fun – although, like all wines, it certainly won’t suit every palate! The tour includes breakfast, lunch and a range of food, wine and spirit tastings throughout the day, and we’re very fortunate that the overwhelming majority of our guests thoroughly enjoy both the variety and generosity of the experience. We’re disappointed that it wasn’t to your taste on this occasion, but we appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best for the remainder of your travels.

Just as a little local quirk of Tropical North Queensland — we don’t actually have traditional grape vineyards here due to the climate 🍍🍋 The wines you tasted are made from locally grown tropical fruits instead, which makes them quite unique to the region.
