Minh was great. He took us to places we would never have found on our own and we tried dishes we may not have ordered. We paid one price and then everything was sorted for us, including a beer and Q&A at his 'speakeasy'. He has perfect english and is very funny. Definitely book!

Tour guide Ricky took us round a great selection of local eateries. Terrific range of foods with great flavours. All in Old Quarter. Did a 6pm tour so finished prior to nine. This was plenty. Ricky sent links of all the sites visited so we could try again. Very helpful

Super fun to walk up and down back alleys and stop at establishments, many third generation Ricky was superb host, thoughtful and attentive, and knew all of our names and how to get us to and from the food places. My 13-year-old son and I had a blast. Ricky was engaging and make sure everyone had fun and even got my son to try all seven courses including imperial roll with mushroom. Highlight was the ban cha for sure. Excellent food. Was actually a little gluttonous and could easily have one person ticket and share food between two people. So much food and very affordable. Everything included as advertised. Ricky even passed along some recommendations of other places to visit and can’t wait to try these for the rest of my time in Hanoi. Definitely going to recommend tour with Ricky to my friends and family that will be visiting Vietnam and Hanoi. Good luck to you sir!

This food tour was one was the best tours we have ever done! Our guide Ricky was awesome….Communication right from the start with organizing pick up to the end of the tour was amazing! The food was delicious, asked about allergies and preference at the start so when we were at each stop he could help you. Each stop was interesting you learnt something all night. Would highly recommend! Thanks Ricky for making our first night in Vietnam such a great one!

Ricky, our tour guide, took us through the streets of Hanoi Old Quarter to try different foods at different places. From street vendors and restaurants to a coffee house. Explaining what the Vietnamese names is, what it means/translates to, how to order, how to eat, and often a little bit of information about the vendor/shop history as well as other general information. It was easy going - never felt rushed, and as a solo traveller I joined a shared group with two other parties. It was about 2 to 3 hours in total - I think length does depend on the group. The area was quite busy as I went on a weekend, but I believe during the week it would be a lot quieter if that is your preference. Great introduction to Vietnamese food if you’ve not tried, but also great if you’ve have as you learn more about it.
