In a social expedition series in the Semeru area with Kitabisa, I had the opportunity to visit Tumpak Sewu. Initially, I thought this place would just be one of the destinations on our trip, but it turned out the experience there left a quite deep impression. Once at the viewpoint, it was hard not to pause for a moment. The waterfall falling from the high cliff, surrounded by the greenness of the trees and the solidity of the hills, creates a truly magnificent view. Seeing it in person feels very different compared to just seeing photos on social media. As a photographer, Tumpak Sewu is one of the very enjoyable places to capture moments. Almost every corner offers a fascinating view. However, behind its beauty, the journey to some points is quite challenging. The path requires effort and caution, but it is that journey that makes the experience more memorable. After several days with the team running social activities, being in nature like this provides an opportunity to pause, enjoy the atmosphere, and realize how beautiful the places around us are. For me, Tumpak Sewu is not just about the beautiful waterfall. This place is about the journey, the exhaustion that is rewarded upon reaching the destination, and the simple moments when we can stand together with the people who accompanied the journey while enjoying the amazing view. Tumpak Sewu is one of the places I will remember from this trip. Highly worth visiting, especially for nature lovers, photographers, and those who want to experience a slightly challenging but very memorable journey. It was a great experience to book the trip through IDN. The IDN team was super responsive and also organized a private trip for us (a family of 4 with two kids) to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall & Goa Tetes Cave and a driver to Bali. The guide was excellent, took very good care of the kids and even created a very nice video of our trip that she shared with us without and additional cost.

We contacted IDN with only one day's notice for a tour to the Tumpak Sewu waterfall. They responded immediately, offering us a private tour with a guide at a great price. A special thanks goes to our fantastic guide Dede: to avoid an endless line, he accompanied us along an alternative, less-traveled path, taking us straight to the waterfall. Thank you Dede, you saved our day!

We left on time (6 hours) towards the falls, because it can be busy early. Note that you have to walk down a lot of steps and some of these steps can be slippery, along the way you also walk through a little water and have the opportunity to swim. Wear shoes with grip, but also that are allowed to get wet, such as tevas. Same for the clothes, wear an outfit that can get wet and possibly allow you to swim and/or walk under the waterfall, such as a sports set. A really nice activity and our guide also gave us plenty of time and space to go somewhere we wanted to look. Top experience!

It was a wonderful experience, and the two tour guides definitely contributed to that. The driver was friendly, punctual, and had a good driving style. Our tour guide was equally friendly and was able to give the whole experience an extraordinary touch with his expertise. We were shown 3 breathtaking waterfalls, and we enjoyed every minute.
