メークローン鉄道市場は1905年に遡る。 漁業は昔から地域社会の主要な収入源であり、市場は新鮮な漁獲物や農産物を販売する重要な場所となった。 役人が鉄道を敷設して他国への物資輸送を手伝ったとしても、市場が消滅することはなく、代わりに市場が適応した。 現在でも、業者は線路上で商品を販売し続けている。 電車が通過する直前、日よけをさっと引き戻し、かごや盆をずらし、電車が過ぎれば通常通り営業再開。 混沌とした、印象的な、紛れもないタイの、魅力的で本当にユニークな光景です！ 合計所要時間には、バンコクからメークロン市場までの所要時間が含まれます。

There was about 6-7 hours of driving but our guide, Johan, and driver were excellent and very accommodating! Johan was very attentive, informative and fun! The railway and floating market were amazing!!

What a fabulous day. So many different things to explore, experience and eat! From the train market and coconut icecream at the floating flower market, to the historic touring of all the Wats. We had a great lunch at the Venice restaurant. Very looked after by Joyce who taught us a lot, and gave us some really great travel tips. A great day out where you get to do so much. Recommend.

Joyce is a superstar. A kind, friendly funny guide with lots of knowledge of the area, history, and what to buy. Perfect for a group of four people we had the best time exploring and hearing all about the historical significance of each sight. As for the sights themselves, we attended on a Tuesday in Wet Season so it wasn't so busy. The crowds, if we rarely had one, was easy to navigate, especially with our guide. We did a 12 hour day, spending around an hour at 5 different sights. Admission fees were super reasonable usually around 40-80BAHT. We got to do a lot of shopping and got a few tickets for my keepsake book. An overall lovely tour, with kind a kind driver and guide, exploring beautiful sights.
