We had the most incredible day out on the beautiful island of Nusa Penida! It was an early start from our hotel, but it was absolutely worth it. The early departure meant we could get across to the island nice and early and make the most of what was a truly wonderful and memorable day. When we arrived on Penida, we were met by our driver and guide, Kadek Gunawan, who immediately made us feel so welcome. Kadek was incredibly friendly, polite and helpful throughout the entire day, and his good English made communicating with him easy and enjoyable. What really stood out to us was how organised, knowledgeable and professional Kadek was. He knew the island extremely well and took us around confidently, making sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he was always on hand to help and make sure we were comfortable. We also have to mention his driving. The roads around Penida can certainly be challenging in places, but Kadek was an extremely careful and confident driver. We felt completely safe with him throughout the day, which allowed us to simply sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. Kadek also went above and beyond by taking some wonderful photographs of my Husband and myself at the different locations. These are memories we would never have been able to capture ourselves, and we are so grateful that he took the time to do this for us. The island itself is absolutely beautiful, and having Kadek with us made it so much easier to see and appreciate it. We particularly loved having some free time at Crystal Bay, where we could relax, take in the surroundings and simply enjoy being there. After a fantastic day exploring Penida, we were met again in Bali for our return journey and arrived back at our hotel at around 6pm. It really was a full and wonderfully organised day, with so much included and so much to see. For us, it represented excellent value for money and gave us the opportunity to experience parts of Nusa Penida that we would never have been able to see as easily on our own. A very special thank you to Kadek for making our day so enjoyable. His friendliness, patience, local knowledge, professionalism and excellent driving made such a difference. We felt genuinely looked after from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. A fantastic day, a beautiful island and a wonderful guide — memories that we will treasure for a long time.

Even though the round-trip fare is supposed to be included in the ferry ticket, I still had to pay separately for the return ticket today.
