This place is like a time machine and feel like walking back to the 17th and 18th centuries. All I watched in the movies were alive in front of me. The guide was very good too and helped so much understanding history and importance of this palace.
Located in one of the busiest hubs of the city ... practically just a stone's throw away from Piazza Venezia, you don't have to travel far to reach this place and immerse yourself in old Roman history and luxury. Visiting this 15th-16th century residence of the most powerful family in Rome at that time is like traveling back in time. While surviving members of the old Pamphilij Family still occupy and live in some parts of the palace, some wings of it have been opened to the public. This gives you a chance to experience a bit of luxury as you visit different rooms, halls, galleries and corridors of the place. Everything in it is jaw-dropping, from floor to ceiling! Amazing architecture, interior design, art collection, etc. await you. You can buy your ticket either onsite or online (with the latter option charging you more). No need to hire a tour guide. Audio guide is provided. Come early to avoid the crowd and take your time walking through every corner of the place. No rush. Btw don't bring a car. There's no parking lot for visitors. Highly recommended!
I got nervous when we arrived because we went directly to the ticket office and they had no reservation listed for our party. Fortunately the tour guide found us while we were struggling to explain and cleared everything up. The tour itself was phenomenal, an amazing gem right on a main street that was close to our hotel. The artwork was incredible and the tour guide seemed genuinely excited to talk about it with us about the history and pieces. I would highly recommend fitting in this tour, it was a huge highlight of our short trip to Rome!

We hired a guide, Jason, a PhD, who was excellent. He calibrated the level of talk to accommodate us, was very enthusiastic, detailed insightful and brought the place to life. We learnt a lot. Very highly recommended.
Very beautiful palace with amazing art and history. Maybe we could have seen it without a guide too but the quality of our visit would not have been the same.
