Muzammil was the most fantastic guide we could possibly have hoped for. He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and excellent to talk to on many topics from history, to culture, to general chit chat. He was also a great photographer and knew some great spots to take us to. My mother and I had a brilliant time with him, we just wish we’d had more time to be shown further around Agra. If we come back to Agra or other nearby areas in the future, we shall certainly be reaching out!

We had an amazing guide: Muzammil Husain. We spent two days with him. Ask for him! Book him! He is an expert historian of the area. He carefully explains everything you are seeing, puts his information in the context of other sites, historical time, and events. He helps you imagine what it was like when the emperors/royalty were there (people, animals, furnishings, music, costumes...), bringing the history and sites alive. He is endlessly patient and he is kind. He goes at your pace. We've had a lot of guides in different parts of the world. Muzammil ranks at the top.

I couldn’t recommend Muzammil enough. My fiance and I booked Muzammil through the Oberoi hotels for a tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra fort across 2 days. He’s thorough, well-spoken, objective, and extremely kind. This was a wonderful tour with the best tour guide. Muzammil takes excellent care of his guests doing everything from securing safe and comfortable transportation to recommending and sitting with us for a meal afterwards. His knowledge of the site and attention to details made our tour of the Taj Mahal another memorable one. This was our second tour with him and we are already making plans to return and spend even more time in Agra visiting more sites here and doing other tours elsewhere.

I had the great pleasure of experiencing the Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Muzammil, arranged by The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra. We met in the hotel lobby and took the golf cart to the entrance of the Taj Mahal. Thanks to him, I could skip the long lines and immediately enjoy the beauty of this iconic site. As we entered, Muzammil explained the first breathtaking impression of the Taj Mahal seen through the grand entrance gate. He then guided me to the perfect photo spot where the Taj Mahal reflected in the water during the magical morning light. He even positioned me at the right place and took stunning photos – memories I will treasure forever. We continued to the famous Diana Bench for another classic view. Along the way, Muzammil brought history to life by vividly telling the love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. His storytelling, in excellent English, made the scenes unfold in my imagination as if I had traveled back in time. He explained the architecture, the special marble, the floral decorations, and the inscriptions in remarkable detail. So impressed by his guiding, I immediately booked him also for the afternoon tour of Agra Fort and Itimad-ud-Daulah. At Agra Fort, his narration was so vivid that I could almost see the elephants carrying Shah Jahan into the fort in full splendor. We explored the Diwan-i-Aam and the Musamman Burj, the octagonal tower where Shah Jahan spent his last seven years with a view of the Taj Mahal. Itimad-ud-Daulah beautifully completed the story of the Taj Mahal, and Muzammil made it all deeply meaningful and memorable. We finished the day at Kalakriti, where I could witness the incredible craftsmanship of marble inlay work, closely connected to the Taj Mahal itself. I truly consider myself lucky to have had Muzammil as my guide. His passion, knowledge, and storytelling skills are outstanding, and he made my visit to Agra unforgettable. We are still in touch – and who knows, perhaps I will return one day. I can wholeheartedly recommend Muzammil to anyone visiting Agra.
