If this tour cost $50 per person, it may be worth it. At almost $200 p/p it is a complete rip off. None of the snacks or drinks were offered. They didn’t even text us two hours before to arrange pick up, as promised. Guide was friendly and quite knowledgeable - that’s probably the only positive point.
Solid knowledge of our guild. Shawn was fantastic, great time, highly recommend. Perfect day, one end of the island to the other.

This should be the first tour on your list to get some good local knowledge & learn about the Hawaiian culture and people while taking in both well known and not so well known places of interest while stopping to try typical foods and snacks along the way. As a family of five it was great to get out on a private tour and enjoy chatting with a local who was happy to share stories not only of the culture and history but also some personal stories from his childhood and current day life. Our guide was Travis, so kind and easy going, but knowledgeable and professional too. He graciously led us among the fascinating Hawaiian history, starting with the significance of Iolani palace and the statue of King Kamehameha; before leaving Waikiki, we could take a look at the 'coral' church and a glimpse of Chinatown. Afterwards we climbed the hill leading to the “moving” Punchbowl Memorial. Each stop became more interesting thanks to stories and facts that Travis was sharing with us – eager to answer to each of our questions. A spectacular view over Waikiki and Diamond Head is one of our favorite memories. We even visited an ancient “heiau” (or sacred place) where locals still offer gifts to the gods - and a curious restored old fishpond. In each of the places we visited Travis explained history and traditions of the various ethnic groups who had arrived to Hawai’i islands and some of the recent changes that are occurring still nowadays: VERY interesting!!. We would recommend this tour , not only to someone into history , but to everyone wanting to explore the heritage and history of these islands !! Thank you, Travis , for so many wonderful memories
The Pali was spectacular and unbelievably windy. Very interesting stop at Punchbowl Cemetery. Learned a lot with our guide Travis. He treated us like Obama.
Loved spending the day with Sean and learning all about Oahu and its history. The sights were breathtaking even if the day was overcast. Got to try some cocoa puffs courtesy of Sean. The little extra things he did for us made the tour even more enjoyable Highly recommend this tour and guide
Lanai picked us up at our hotel in his Jeep and we spent the day on a personal adventure with him. He explained the Hawaiian culture to us, showed us many beautiful and sacred sites, and we got to sit back and let him do all the driving. Well worth the money - very reasonably priced for the private tour and personal experience. We will do other Jeep Tours in the future.
We had the most wonderful time in Hawaii, and had the pleasure to meet Travis our Jeep tour guide. He is an amazing person with a great personality. He has an abundance of knowledge for Hawaii and can take you to the best places. I highly recommend you ask for him to get the best views and unending knowledge of Hawaii. <p>Personal tour with a native Hawaiian...how much better does it get?! Went to places only a local would know, plus Sean had excellent information about tourist spots. So what if we went in the rainy season and could not see grand vistas due to the rain and clouds...we had a great time!</p>
