We sign up for the 2 hour free tour of Cordoba. Our guide, Pilu, went through the streets of Cordoba, stopping mainly at some statues, in which he explained who the character was and some anecdotes. And so far everything was fine, but he was passing by many important buildings and did not even allude to his name, he just kept walking to the next sculpture. In addition, she had a couple of brusque gestures with a group that arrived a little later, for interrupting her, who abandoned the visit before the first stop. Overall, it was a good tour. And our guide ("Juan") was very informative. Which was a big plus. However, something was extremely disappointing. The Alhambra has been closed for Renovations. Knowing this, why did you continue to advertise it as part of the 3-hour tour??
This was not as advertised. The guide gave a good tour of Mezquita. The Alcazar was shut. We did not go to synagogue even tho these were included in price. The guide told us virtually nothing about Jews in Cordoba. Even when we stood outside Jewish museum and he used big map outside with list of significant Jewish sites and characters, he said nothing, not even that we were outside the museum. The tour advertised dufferently. He had little knowledge or interest maybe...? He talked a lot about banalities and little of history about anything
Our guide Michelangelo is unbeatable. He explained every detail of every site, plus some curious facts, which made the experience more immersive. They are certainly a good excursion.
Liana (apologies if name mispelt) was a perfect guide, mixing the history with interesting observations and anecdotes to give a rounded introduction to Cordoba
