Option 1: take train from Paris, stand in long long line, go through like cattle. Option 2: get Nils to see Chartres and have him bring it to life, stop at bakery in town; then to go Versailles - don't wait in the line and get right in, and see all the great sights. ***ALERT my daughters wanted to see the Marie Antoinette cottage and Nils made it happen*** they jogged there, toured quick, and we all made it back in town as planned. Loved it!!

Jose is a wonderful tour guide: very knowledgeable, great with kids (including knowing when to skip past less interesting things), and fluent in English. He helped us to appreciate the places we visited. The tour surpassed our expectations.
Gustavo, our guide, had an impressive grasp of French history as well as the details of the site. We enjoyed both. Be prepared for a lot of walking.
