二二八和平記念公園は、台湾、台北、中正区、ケタガラン大通り3番地にある史跡兼市立公園です。公園には、1947年2月28日の事件の犠牲者の記念碑があり、公園の中央にある228記念碑や、日本と国民党の統治下で運営されていた旧ラジオ局の跡地にある台北228記念博物館があります。 。国立台湾博物館は公園の北口にあります。公園にはバンドシェルとエクササイズエリアもあります。
もともとは植民地時代に台湾総督府として建てられた総統庁舎で、台湾で最も有名な建物の1つです。第二次世界大戦中、この建物は連合軍の被害を受け、戦後、台湾総督府と軍事事務所として復元され、中国内戦後、建物は台北のクオミンタン指導部の大統領府。

1908年に日本人によって建てられたこの洋風の建物とその周辺の西門町にある広場は、台北のクリエイティブと文化産業の本拠地であり、展示会やパフォーマンスを毎日開催しています。 もともとは、最初の政府運営の公営市場として機能するように建てられた複合施設でしたが、現在は市の遺産として分類され、保存されています。建物は八角形の入り口と、商人が商品を展示できる十字型の間取り図を備えています。今日、市場は近代化され、ノーススクエア内にあるアーティストやデザイナーのための屋外マーケットなど、クリエイティブおよびアート業界のスペースになりました。
中山堂は、もともと台北市公会堂として機能していた歴史的建造物です。

The Taipei Old Town tour was so much better than what we were expecting. I took the tour with my 22 and 16 year old sons. The tour reads a little like a shopping experience but really wasn't. I think Derek, our guide, could tell from the start that we were there for the history and culture so that's what he delivered. We really enjoyed it. Thank you Derek for trudging through the rain with us!
TourMeAway’s Old Town tour was a perfect introduction to Taipei and Taiwan history. Our tour guide Lina used every spot on the tour to weave in stories about Taiwan history and culture. The whole family (kids and adults!) enjoyed the tour.

We discovered the history and culture of Old Taipei City with Leo. He was awesome. Interesting, funny, full of info, got to try some food specialities and we walked from the east gate to the west. At the end, we knew so much more and felt at home. Highly recommend. You just give tips for the service and it was worth it.
Very informative and enjoyable. The guide was personable and well informed. This tour was on day 1 of our visit and proved to be useful later in the week as we travelled in the city.
