I had an absolutely incredible 5-day desert safari with Desert Man in Jaisalmer, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone visiting Rajasthan. This ended up being one of the highlights of my entire trip through India. From beginning to end, the experience was extremely well organized and felt like a real adventure rather than just a quick tourist excursion into the desert. Spending five days exploring Jaisalmer and the surrounding Thar Desert gave us the opportunity to experience so much more than we would have on a typical one-night safari. The desert itself was beautiful. We got to experience the dunes at sunset and sunrise, travel through remote areas, ride camels, explore by jeep, and spend nights out in the desert under an incredible sky. Stargazing away from the city lights was especially memorable. There is something amazing about being surrounded by the desert at night with almost nothing around you. I also really enjoyed that the trip wasn't limited to just the dunes. We were able to experience Jaisalmer, the fort and historic areas, local villages, and different parts of the desert landscape. Having several days meant that the experience never felt rushed. The people at Desert Man were a huge part of what made the trip so enjoyable. Everyone helping us throughout the safari was friendly, welcoming, and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. We felt well taken care of throughout the entire five days. The food, accommodations, transportation, activities, and overall organization made the experience very easy. We could simply enjoy the trip instead of constantly worrying about arranging the next activity or figuring out transportation. If you're coming to Jaisalmer, I highly recommend doing more than just a short overnight desert safari if you have the time. Spending several days in the desert gives you a completely different experience and allows you to actually slow down and enjoy the landscape, sunsets, stars, villages, and atmosphere. Overall, I absolutely loved my 5-day safari with Desert Man. It was adventurous, relaxing, beautiful, and incredibly memorable. After traveling around India, this is an experience that will definitely stand out for me. Thank you to the entire Desert Man team for an amazing five days and for taking such great care of us. Booking & Due Diligence: After facing aggressive profiteering across Rajasthan, dealing with Mr. Jay Sharma over WhatsApp was a welcome relief. He accommodated our travel constraints with an infant, agreed to a fair negotiated package rate, and accepted a nominal token advance with the balance payable post-trip. Always secure written confirmation upfront for: (1) reaching the actual high dune summit (rogue operators often drop tourists halfway to extort more cash), and (2) dedicated jeep transfers and camels for both sunrise and sunset. The Safari Experience: The team was punctual for both sessions. Rather than abandoning us in the chaotic commercial carnival of public Sam dunes, they took us to quiet, pristine sand ripples for true desert stillness. The camel handler showed genuine care, venturing deeper upon request, and our driver added an exhilarating dune-bashing session in the 4x4. Two Points of Caution: Transport Markup: Their quote for a one-way cab transfer from Sam to Jaisalmer city was nearly double what our city hotel arranged for the exact same route. Always cross-check transport rates with your hotel before booking cabs through safari operators. The ATV Soft-Upsell: The driver made an unprompted stop at a crowded ATV cluster to suggest a quad-bike ride. While completely polite, probing revealed an informal referral network with local village peers. A firm, polite decline is respected without pushiness. Verdict: In a region notorious for bait-and-switch tactics, Real Desert Man Safari is one of the rare operators that genuinely delivers on its promises. Highly recommended with clear written terms.

Our trip was organised from our flight out of Mumbai, all transfers, tour guide in Jaisalmer and 3 nights camel safari in the desert. Transfers in Ahmebedad was smooth, Jaisalmer Tour Guide Rajesh in Jaisalmer was excellent and Safari Tour Guide Abhey was delightful, fun, knowledgeable and an all round nice guy! I loved my trip!!!

Excellent guides. Abhay has 35 years of experience, and he guided me through the desert with joy and ease. I spoke with several guiding companies in Jaisalmer before deciding on Real Desert Man. Some of the other services offered cheaper packages. But when I spoke with fellow travelers, I heard that some of the other companies take you to massive desert camps that have flood lights on throughout the night so you cannot see the stars, and that there are often lots of tourists. I went to the desert for 5 days with Real Desert man, and was willing to pay a little more for a truly private and localized experience. Well worth the extra money.

Best experience possible. Absolutely stunning views and amazing guides. Well prepared and very organized. Guides have tonnes of experience and knowledge. Amazing food and lots of wildlife encounters including desert fox, deer, camals and more! Highly recommend! Don't waste your time, go with real desert man camal safaris!

Incredible experience! Once in a lifetime journey into the Thar desert. Our experienced guide shared a piece of desert life, making us feel comfortable and at home. The camels were also great, well trained and trustworthy. Would absolutely do this again!

My girlfriend and I did the 2 days 2 nights sleeping under the stars and it was the most genuine and fantastic experience I've had in India. Nepal (our camel guide, cook and teacher), Camal "the camel man" (our driver and resident musical man) and Abhey (camel feeder and OG camel man) were all super helpful, kind and hard working. The camels were very placid and the riding was long enough to be enjoyable but not so long as to be a drag. The food, and whole campsite experience was all delightful, relaxing and made all the better by the great company. The whole experience is simple in its beauty and really just makes you feel like you are enjoying the desert with some friends and locals.

Had a wonderful experience with Sawai Dan – Real Desert Man at Nomad Heavens Camp. The camel ride and desert safari were well organized and truly enjoyable. The camp side was amazing, clean, comfortable, and beautifully set in the desert. The hospitality was outstanding.the owner and staff were warm, attentive, and very professional. Everything was perfectly managed, making it great value for money and time. Highly recommended for an authentic and memorable desert stay.

We chose the two night option, first night under the stars and second in the luxurious tents, which was the perfect combination for us. The camel guide as well as the tour guide in Jaisalmer were exceptional. Sawai also booked train and bus tickets from jodhpur and back for us. All went smoothly and is highly recommended.
