After signing up for the boat ride, we received a Whats App message from the tour asking about timing for the ride. We settled on a time and I received a bar code to use to obtain the tickets. Once in Dubai, I went to the At the Top Desk inside of the Dubai Mall to exchange the tickets. The ticket person told me he didn't think the boats were running but he would give me the tickets anyway (this was the day before we were booked). The night of the reservation, we got stuck in traffic and missed our reservation time. The personnel at the lake ride gate were great and just put us on the next boat (which were running despite what the ticket issuer said). We enjoyed our ride around the lake and seeing the Dancing Fountains and light show on the Burj Khalifa from a different perspective on the boat. They had a professional photographer who took our pictures and had them for sale after the ride. Overall, we were very happy with the ride and the kind consideration given to us even though we were late and missed our reservation. We would use them again even though purchasing through Trip Advisor was more expensive than other sites advertising the same ride.

Through Tripadvisor we booked the Fountain Show and Burj Lake Ride by Traditional Boat for 2 people in July. However, when we went to collect our tickets at Dubai Mall on the morning of the booking, we discovered the fountains are closed for refurbishment and will be for several months. I appreciate that the booking was advertised as non-refundable, which is completely fine if we didn't turn up or wanted to change the booking. However, I think that the operator keeping our money when they knew for a long time before we arrived in Dubai that they could not honour the booking (and did not tell us) goes a fair bit beyond reasonable, even for a non-refundable booking. I messaged the operator through Tripadvisor, but have received no response. I also tried an email address available online - but it is invalid. Shame on you Al Atif Tourism, well dodgy!

Please share your TripAdvisor booking ID via the platform and we’ll issue a full refund within 24 hours or move you to an equivalent/upgrade at no extra cost (valid 12 months). We’ve paused sales and added real‑time checks; this was a one‑off disruption for us this year.
We made 9 tours in attractions but without a doubt this was the most impactful, well organized, easy access and truly unforgettable experience in this tourist spot, we recommend!

Your reservation can be canceled. We had a reservation which was paid for in fill for our 1 day stay in Dubai. When we landed we received a notification that our reservation was not going to be honored.

Magisk show. We bought special tickets for brother but stood among everyone else and looked great. Highly recommended.

We booked this boat tour whilst sat in Starbucks in the Mall. We went for the earliest time that had availability and had a gentle walk over to the landing stage. We were first in with another couple and enjoyed a sail around the lake and then watch the fountains as the sun set. This was honestly worth the money (approx £14) and it made our day.

We did this tour in December 2023 on a short visit to Dubai and I made the reservation through the Burj Khalifa website. It was a great way to see the fountains up close. Hundreds of people were lined up all along the water to see the fountain show and it was great to get this front row view. The ride lasted under 30 minutes - more like 20 -25 minutes and the boat held about 8 people - so we rode with another family.

We had booked this experience months before and the day before we were due to see the fountain show the provider abruptly told us we had to cancel. They never gave an explanation but they said unless we canceled we would be charged the full price. I begged them not to cancel us as it was an experience we were looking forward to but they insisted we must cancel otherwise we would not be refunded, and that for some reason they were unable to cancel for us. We had difficulty with internet in our hotel but ultimately we were able to do so, and then we were still questioned by viator on why we had canceled, even though the provider forced us to, and it was at such a late date we had no opportunity to reschedule with another operator. It took a lot of time handling this and was very disappointing. We have not yet received the refund for the cancellation that we were forced to make, and we were never given a reason why we were forced to cancel by the provider.
I sincerely apologize for the unacceptable experience you had with our Dubai Fountain tour booking. Suddenly cancelling your reservation and threatening charges without any explanation was poor customer service. Not being able to enjoy the experience you planned well in advance, and then having to spend time sorting out the forced cancellation and refund, must have been incredibly frustrating. As a provider, it was our responsibility to communicate properly and find solutions, not add more stress. I can understand why you would feel let down by how this was handled. Please be assured I am following up internally to investigate what went wrong, hold accountable those involved, and prevent recurrences. In addition, please accept my apologies. As a gesture of goodwill, I have waived any cancellation fees and initiated a full refund of your original payment. I hope this helps make up for some of the disruption caused.
