Gui was AMAZING. We got lucky and were the only two on the tour so it felt extra special. Gui was super attentive and we shared great conversation the entire time. The tour was a nice excursion outside of Porto. The views, adventure, and food were all perfect. The swimming hole was a real highlight. We also got lucky and had the river/lake to ourselves while kayaking. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Portugal to do this tour of the national park.
Kayaking was very relaxing an fun and Nuno Miguel was always very pleasant. He accompanied us but let us play around and enjoy by ourselfs. Then he showed us a waterfall and lagoon and even helped me adventure through a tight place to reach a jumping spot that I wanted to go to. He then added another stop due to the time still allowing. The food was amazing and always very thoughtful.
This experience overall was amazing - I highly recommend it Nuno was super helpful and friendly made the whole thing easy and enjoyable for everyone - and he had very good English Highlight of the day was kayaking Thank you!

We had a great day kayaking and swimming near the waterfalls. Our guide Ricardo picked us up in Porto around 8 and drove about 90 minutes to the kayaking spot. He was a fantastic guide, sharing facts about every town we passed through along the way. After an hour and a half on the water we stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and tried a really nice regional wine. From there it was another 30 minutes to the waterfalls, where we swam and jumped off the cliffs into the pool below. It's stunning, though be warned the water is freezing and you can't stay in long. Ricardo dropped us off near our place at the end.
This was a fine experience. Pedro, our guide was lovely and very informative. It was a good way to learn a little more about the country and the history and see some of the country side. But if you were looking for a day of actual outdoor exercise and hiking and kayaking in nature, this really wasn’t it. We were on the excursion for 11 hours and we were probably hiking or kayaking for a maximum of three of those. And the kayaking was in kind of a very commercial place in a village that just felt like in urban excursion. The hike to the waterfall was about a half a mile. It was a little steep, and a bit of work, but not an all day outdoor excursion, that we thought it would be. The actual waterfall and swimming were fun. But I don’t know if it was worth 11 hours when there’s a lot of other things you could be doing in and around Porto.

Highly recommended experience!! We chose the tour in English with Miguel, an experienced guide from the region. We felt like we had arrived in another world, going from the fog on the whole trip from Porto, to the BREATHTAKING view of the river flowing into the valley overlooked by all the houses of the surrounding villages 🤩 The kayak trip that gets you warmed up and is not too difficult even for the amateurs in our group, which is rewarded by surely the best restaurant in the region (given the number of locals who were lining up)! And I will let you discover the last spots to keep secret for the visit to enjoy it even more ;)
This experience was amazing! The perfect level of activity and adventure for us, and it really felt like you got more than your money’s worth. Our tour guide Rafael went above and beyond to give us an in depth view of the beautiful Peneda Geres national park.
