Worth every penny. I was so sad to leave Giulio !! But he is now with us forever.
Ah Giulio. I don’t want where to start with this man. He gave my mother and I an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. First off photography is a small competency he has. He has an extremely interesting background (I’ll keep it as a surprise), and very knowledgeable of Rome’s history. I suspect not just Rome or Italy. He was very engaging and energetic even though his knee and hip were injured, it didn’t affect his output one bit, and that’s a great work ethic for you. He knew just what to say to my mother to bring out her laughs. Clearly Giulio is a warm person with a good heart.
After the experience ended, we received the photos a day or two later and my were they great. Across the different historical sites, he took photos with different styles and I loved the different flavors of editing he gave. The photos we took are forever and I would do the session again and again with the people dear to me. Great photographer and experience overall !!

I appreciate every single word you wrote, especially because it clearly comes from the heart, in a candid flow of good compliments that left some room for lost in translations, when you wrote "I don’t want where to start with this man" (I guess you meant "I don't know where to start" ... LOL )

Fantastic shots with a cool guy
Giulio is a fantastic, genuine and friendly man, I am ecstatic I chose him to show us Rome and take our photos for my "surprise" proposal to my now fiancé. The pictures were great, and the editing made us happy. We received our photos in a timely fashion and were happy with the results. Pro tip: wear comfy shoes, those cobblestones are killer after several hours shooting.

Made a more Personal visit
Having been to Rome previously only to get home and go through the pictures to either not see either of us or just one but never both together we decided to take this tour it was a perfect decision!! first our guide Giulio was more than accommodating in that during our scheduled time it was raining after much communication we settled on a time when the weather was going to cooperate he picked us up at our hotel not something originally planned and off we went our tour through Rome was excellent visiting many of the normal sights St Peter's etc. but also some areas we would have never seen all the while having a great time with Giulio. In the end we were presented with 70 pictures of us during our visit some of course were planned pictures but to our surprise there were many that were "impromptu surprises" that we weren't aware were taken. If you are looking for a way to truly have pictures to remember you Roman holiday we would highly recommend this tour. thank you Giulio for the memories !

Capturing moment during Baptism ceremony at St. Peter Basilica
So we decided to bring our 4 months old baby to Vatican to be baptised. My family travelling from Asia, his family from Milano and ourselves from Africa... quite hectic to organise everything and I have never been a fan of having a professional photographer (even for our wedding)... yet that Saturday morning, when we walked acrossed St Peter Square, we stumbled upon Giulio, he was shooting with someone else, we exchanged conversations and I was impressed with his portfolio, especial his work in Africa so when my sister proposed the idea of requesting him to shoot at my daughter’s baptismal next Sunday, I didn’t hesitate and I’m convinced that it was meant to be. He was responsive, Super interesting to converse with and he worked whole heartedly, we weren’t restricted by number of hours or number of photos... he made everything just about us, and nothing else.
Thank you for the beautiful moments captured and wish we can work together again somewhere somehow.

The meeting with your sister and family that Saturday morning was so out of nowhere, but it led to one of the most amazing photographic experience I ever had in Rome: shooting a Baptism in St. Peter's church!!!! Wow!!!! I was so grateful for the opportunity given that no wonder my personal and professional dedication was all geared to give you the best service possible! Plus, it was not only a Baptism in the most important Basilika of the Christian world, but it was the one of a child, fruit of a meeting of cultures that through love have been able to overcome prejudices and obstacles. Great pictures with an amazing photographer
Was a fun experience with Giulio with the end result of loads of great pictures.
Giulio was proactive - responding quickly on initial queries of the tour and also reconfirming meeting time/point ahead of the day of the tour. He started off as scheduled, did not rush at all intact ended up extending the 4hr tour to 5. He suggested change in locations covered based on crowds expected at that time, taking into account my preferences also. Giulio also kept the hours interesting with bits of facts of the areas visited.
The end result was loads of amazing pictures to keep those memories, which he delivered within less than a day.

First magical and smooth Roman visit.
We travelled from California to Rome for the first time. Giulio D'Ercole was our photographer and guide to my first trip to Rome with family. Giulio was so helpful from helping my wife contact our Airbnb host to calling a big taxi for us to airport. My wife booked Giulio for private photo shoot. Besides being a great photographer and passionate about what he does, he was a great guide and gave us good knowledge and history lesson of Rome. Our first stop was colosseum. Giulio saved us from the long lines by doing what the locals would do. He also took us to great local restaurants that are less known with tourists but only the local knows. We plan to come back to Italy and visit nearby cities next time and I would definitely hire Giulio again. He is professional and friendly and made my first trip to Italy better than I expected. Ive heard Italians are friendly people and Giulio conformed that. Ciao is my favorite word now.

Excellent Photoshoot
I went on a four hour photoshoot tour of Rome with Guilio and was very impressed. He's an excellent photographer as well as a great guide. There is quite a bit of walking involved, but he finds really good spots to shoot and it is totally worth it. Also, compared to other similar tours I’ve taken elsewhere, I liked this the most because it wasn’t touristy, and there’s no script being followed. It is all customised to one’s interests and felt like going around town with a friend. The photos were amazing and I’d highly recommend Guilio.

Photo shooting and walking tour in Rome
I’d like to thank Giulio, not just photo shooting, but helping me contacting my apartment’s landlord before my arrival in Rome, as the landlord doesn’t speak English! Moreover, he helped me fixing the iPhone SIM card networking by walking with me to Vodafone & Apple store! Without him, I couldn’t get any connection to GPS & WhatsApp! Apart from a helpful guy, he is absolutely a great photographer & tour guide! We started our walking + shooting tour at 7am from my apartment til noon, he took me to secret but beautiful places for unique pictures. Many thanks to Giulio & I already booked him for another tour!

It was an absolute pleasure to help you out even before your arrival and with the internet issues you had to face on your very first day in Rome. In fact I do know how intimidating and frustrating it can be for people coming for the first time to Italy to cope with landlords that don't speak your language or with telecommunication services that are far from being smoothly functioning or customer oriented. Great family pictures from Rome
This was the perfect way to preserve memories of a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation.
Our family traveled to Italy in mid-May. We wanted to get some pictures of our time in Rome where we were all in the shot with iconic, well-composed views of the sights. Giulio did a wonderful job in all aspects. He met us at the apartment where we stayed. He guided us through sites around the the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese park (our choices). He captured candid shots of us walking, viewing the sights, chatting, and being ourselves. He got very nicely posed shots (for example, one overlooking Piazza del Populo with St. Peter's dome in the background). Lastly, he suggested some portraits of us individually and in couples - extra, extra special!
We just got back and the first thing I did was download the files. Fantastic.
In addition to the photos, he gave us some historical perspective on the places we were visiting. He was easy to work with and very professional.
