Maaz was a great young man with an excellent command of English. He had messaged the evening before to find out what we were interested in so we really got to understand how the local people live, work, eat and pray. We walked everywhere, which we were happy to do as we are runners and this gave us a chance to ask him about the politics and the governance of the UAE etc. He is very informative and has a good sense of humour, especially talking with my husband about premier league football! We finished with a takeaway from his favourite place and it didn't disappoint. We got a fantastic bespoke tour without going to all the usual tourist spots.
Hired private guide, Kamil, to take us to the Grand Mosque. He was polite, had a good sense of humor and very accommodating to our requests. The tour was great and we learned a lot from him.
Our guide changed last minute so we had to revise and update her on planning. Lena adjusted pretty well but it seems that usually the agency is usually taking care of transportation. That would have been nice since the tour was expensive for a walking tour that is not feasible walking, but with transportation included it would have been much more reasonable
