We booked this tour based on prior reviews and the 3 hour time frame as we were on a cruise. Our first guide had to cancel our tour due to personal reasons and Viator immediatley rebooked us with another guide. We contacted the new guide and agreed to meet at the "Fontana del Nettuno" close to the port. He agreed and said everything was perfect. We arrived at the meeting point 15 mins early and waited for the guide. After the agreed meeting time we tried to contact him through "Whats app". He seen and read the text but never communicated that he was running late or couldn't make it etc. We waited for 30 mins and finally left and did a hop on hop off tour. Upon returning to our cruise ship we requested a refund but were told that no refund would be issued as the tour took place a planned! I always take screen shots of conversations, receipts and supporting documents while traveling and so I had proof that we were on another tour at the time the guide "lied" and said we were with him. As a result we got a refund. This was "NOT" a Viator problem as they worked with us to get the refund ad did everything possible to retify the problem. It was the tour company that Viator used that I am giving the rating on 1 star.

Miriam was an amazing guide through this exceptional city. Kind, patient, humorous and extremely knowledgeable. She made the history lesson fun and entertaining for people of all ages. We truly enjoyed the experience and would recommend her and this tour to anyone!

Walking Tour of Naples Booking / communication with Viator & Tour company excellent, easy, clear and simple. Pasquale, met us at the meeting point, he was friendly, easy to understand and exceptionally knowledgeable. We discussed the itinerary and what we wanted to see. Within a few minutes it was like catching up with an old friend, exploring their home city. Pasquale’s knowledge, passion and love for Naples meant that we were able to learn so much about even the smallest details of the architecture or the history of a place or building. He showed us places where we could eat and we took time to enjoy the amazing city and fantastic culture. He has left us with a strong desire to be back soon and many ideas of what to do next. Don’t book if you are on a cruise. We booked this tour to do while cruising to the port of Salerno. On the morning of the tour, our port stop was cancelled due to rough seas and the ship was unable to access the port. We notified Viator and the tour operator immediately at 7 a.m. We were told no refund was allowed as we had not cancelled 24 hours in advance. We did not know the seas would be rough 24 hours in advance! We had also booked car transfer to Naples for the tour. They were most gracious in allowing cancellation. Our cruise ship, Celebrity, said it is common practice to refund tours, even with outside companies, when the seas make it impossible to dock. Our captain gave us a letter to submit to the company/tour operator explaining the reason we had to miss the port, but they still refused a refund. There is nothing we could have done differently as this was a weather-related cancellation, not just us changing our mind. It would just seem that in the event of a forced cancellation due to weather, the tour company and providers would be willing to work with travellers, not just take their money and provide no services. We cancelled at 7 a.m., the tour was not scheduled until 10:00 a.m. Very poor customer service,
