A really great tour from Sara. Her mission was to help us fall in love with her city, and she succeeded. We were a small group of four and the comprehensive explanations, historical context and tips, answered all our questions. She was also very considerate in finding shade, and occasional seating for someone who needed it. We can genuinely recommend this as the perfect introduction to your stay on Verona.

They cancelled the tour an hour before. Then rescheduled. We were running late as a result. No one responded to my emails. I actually thought it was a scam. I usually book through Tours By Locals. They’re always reliable.

We met with Elettra right on time, she was very well spoken and informative. I have to say some times Viator guides seem to just ramble on. Not the case with Elettra. She always kept the tour conversational and was quick to answer questions in an easy manner. We were pleased with the pace of the tour, and didn't feel rushed. Loved her love of history and architecture. She passed on some good ideas for food and drinks with the locals. Throughly enjoyed our entire time with her.

The young man who accompanied us to Verona was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. However, being a pleasant person does not mean being a licensed tour guide. In Italy, the profession of tour guide is regulated by law, and to practice it, one must possess the required qualifications and be registered in the National List of Tour Guides. You cannot simply improvise as a guide overnight. As a licensed tour guide myself, I know well the path, the exams, and the requirements necessary to be able to perform this profession. For this reason, I was particularly disappointed to discover that the person leading our tour was not a licensed tour guide, even though the service was presented as a guided tour. I believe that platforms and operators like GetYourGuide and Guydeez should verify more carefully the professional qualifications of the people to whom they entrust groups. If a customer books and pays for a tour with a tour guide, they should receive exactly the service that is advertised.

Our guide Sara was FANTASTIC!! She gave us an excellent overview of the three eras of Verona (Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance). She was prepared to answer any question and her visual aids were extremely helpful. She has made our later walks around Verona much more enjoyable. I recommend taking her tour at the beginning of your stay in Verona. It will give you a new perspective on the City.

We had a wonderful walk around Verona with Sara who had so much Knowledge of the history of Verona took us to places and showed wonderful sights we would otherwise not have found. A truely magnificint experience with Charming Sara.
