A walking tour this is not. There are really no places to walk as the sites are all spread out over the city. The guide charged me another 85 USD to take his car so we could actually see something. This tour should NOT be sold as a walking tour. Don't waste your money on this. Take a scheduled tour with Visit Senegal instead

The guide on the spot of Guydeez in Dakar had demonstrably not shown up to the meeting point at the port for the excursion. We waited 1.5 hours for him, looked for him and asked who might have seen him. All details were discussed in advance by e-mail. When I later wrote to the tour guide Becaye Guindo in Dakar, he claimed that he was at the port and did not find us. Thus he admitted that he was informed about the date and details of the booked excursion. The port has only one exit for passengers and pedestrians. We searched for him for 1.5 hours and addressed all the people if this is the guide. In addition, we were clearly recognizable as tourists so he could have found us in any case. We also called the emergency number of the booking/organizer Guydeez. There was also no help to get as a band announcement in Spanish came forward! The holiday time was wasted: Private tailor-made walking tour with a local guide in Dakar, 3 hour walking tour 10:00 EUR €84.00 Wed, March 06, 2024 2 adults And unfortunately we didn't get refunded either! Despite several complaints we did not get the 84 euros back! Be careful: Rip-off and cheating! From Tripadvisor/Viator I received standardized answers with canned texts via email. No reference had been made at all to my personal arguments. No detail or other information was provided. I was given a nice and general rejection by Viator. Viator did not comment on the fact that the tour guide knew about the event and did not appear as he claimed in the mail. Poor service and not a bit customer friendly! The money's gone! Be careful: Guydeez fends off with false claims!

I had an amazing tour with Bécaye! He was very friendly, warm and very knowledgeable about Dakar. We saw the top attractions in Dakar with ease and took some road trips. He’s very attentive and communicates well. Since I am English speaking, I was worried that I wasn’t going to navigate well around Dakar but Bécaye made sure I was well looked after! Please do book with him, you will not regret it!
This is an Excellent tour if you want to have an authentic experience with a local. We stoped at a restaurant and had a delicious lunch- I never would have thought to go there on my own.
