We really appreciated the ability to customize this tour in terms of duration and content. We were asked ahead of time what sights we would like to visit. We chose a 2 hour tour and left our itinerary decisions for our guide, Oussema. He was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating and we learned so much about Catania, past and present. He even recommended a few places to have dinner afterward which were delicious! We would highly recommend this tour!
My guide never showed up, no text , call or email! I was really surprised by the lack of communication, I even reached out to viator 24 hour call center.

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The problem was her heavy accent making it difficult to understand what she was saying. Also way too much detail and rapid speech. I gave feedback on those things and it didn’t help much. We ended the tour 45 minutes early.
Nice overview of the city and its’ history. The 2 hour tour was an appropriate amount of time. The longer tours are likely not needed. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very kind.

This was our second tour with Viator in as many days. The bar was set pretty high on the previous tour. This was a little different as it was a walking tour with just my husband and myself and our guide, Viviana. Viviana communicated the meeting time and place to us clearly and we met up that morning. Neither of us knew much about Catania and we were completely blown away by how much we saw, did and learned that day. The city is steeped in tradition, heritage and history... not just from the human perspective but also a geological one. The relationship between the people of Catania and their "mother" Mount Aetna , was fascinating. There are so many hidden gems in this city and I'm certain the only way you can truly experience them all is through someone who is as passionate and knowledgeable about their home as Viviana. We didn't just get what was perhaps the absolute best tour Viator offered on this vacation, we made a wonderful new friend. Our most special thanks to Viviana for making this a day we will not soon forget.
We took a walking tour in Catania and it was truly beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant, and patiently answered all our questions, not only about the history of Catania but also about that of Sicily. A very interesting and enjoyable experience. We highly recommend it!
Pleasant walk about major sites in Catsnia. Very doable as two 74 year olds😊Really helped orient us and Serena was wonderful to include taking us to the apartment and street where my family lived for 2 years 1961-63. She gave wonderful historic information about the city and recommended places for us to visit at leisure and left us at a great place to eat sitting outside.
